(Hello, welcome to another book, hopefully; if you have read my other creations, it won't be left uncompleted. I recently got into At Dead of Night through a lovely YouTuber, and found it quite fanfiction worthy, Please enjoy the adventure you will be taking. You will be reading this story as first person, Y/N)

My breathing was quite heavy, and sweat trickled my skin as I travel through the cold air, the sky was rather dark, sun almost setting, and I was eagerly in need of a bed, and some food as well. Suddenly, I got an unexpected call from a friend, (F/N). I stumbled to get my phone out of my pocket and answered with an exhausted greeting, "Hello?" I waited for only a second to get an excited reply back.

"Hello there (Y/N)! Are you close to the hotel?" Their voice was rather enthusiastic, must be enjoying pleasures of a warm hotel room. "I'm almost there, I can see it." I struggle to say, ending it with a breathless sigh. I take a moment to examine the motel as my friend talks into my ear, seeing that it was rather...creepy. A cliff-side motel that just screams secrets of all sorts of wrong.

"Good! Can't wait to see you here!" She says, her voice practically dripping enthusiasm. "Me too, see you in a bit." Then I hear a click. 'Hmph, rude as always. That's (F/N) for ya.' I take a moment to breathe, the hike taken almost all my energy as I tread forth, and gripping onto the motel door's handle.

What awaited be beyond the door was a rather nice balance of reds and browns, with gold in the mix; and classy lounge furniture in place, almost as if I've traveled into the 1950's. Simply a very cozy and warm atmosphere, compared to the rather uninviting exterior. I couldn't help but feel uneasy anyways, the interior still giving me alarm bells despite looking rather normal.

I walk up to the counter as I started regaining my posture, trying to look somewhat decent for anyone at the front desk. I then ring a bell that was placed in front, waiting patiently for a clerk. As I wait, my eyes wander to further admire the decor of the lounge, expecting more beautiful scenery of this hotel as I travel to my room.
"Hello, Miss?" I jolt back, giving attention to the source of my scare, to see a rather dorky, but gentle man, smiling rather warmly, like how a clerk should to welcome guests.
"Oh hello, Lord that scared me a bit." I joke a bit, to lighten my mood.
He chuckles, "I am sorry to give you a fright, how can I help you?" "I'm here for a room, my friends have bought a room for me, and we were split up." I explain to the man, suddenly getting a slight feeling of uneasiness.
His face lightens up, "Ah! (Y/N) (L/N)! Correct?" I nod happily "Yes, that's me! And you are?" "Jimmy, Jimmy Hall." He says while he gets out a book, writes down something, and puts it away, getting a room key.
"Your room is 104 on the first floor." He smiles very sweetly, giving me some butterflies.
I accidentally stare for a bit, and oddly, so does he, but we both realize what we're doing, and stop the odd staring contest.
"Right, um, thank you very much." I start to turn around and head to some elevators, when I hear him speak once more.
"Ah, hey, will you be seeing the performance tonight?" He asks me, I turn around.
"Oh, well you see, me and my friends are heading to a concert, and it starts rather early. I'm sorry but I won't be able to make it." I scratch my head nervously, I hate turning people down, but I have things to take care of.
"Ah, I see..." he looks down, frowning slightly. "Well, enjoy your stay, (Y/N)." "I will, thank you." I then head to the elevators, going up to my room.

I enter my room, putting my stuff down hurriedly and collapse on the bed face down, grunting.
"Finally, a bed." I position myself to relax a bit, for maybe five minutes, before heading to the bathroom and getting myself cleaned up.

Afterwards, I try and find one of my friends in their hotel room, I remember my best friend was not too far from mine, so I go check.
I tip toe quietly to not disturb and guests, my breathing steady and my movements cautious and slow, I approach a corner leading to rooms 110 and 111, to hear odd noises, sounds of muffled protest, and shushing.
I slightly turn my head to see Jimmy, with my friend, using a rag to make them unconscious.
I quietly gasp, and escape as quick as I can without making any noise the the lobby, heading for the front doors.

I approach the doors, wriggling them. "Shit!" I mutter, due to the fact they're locked.
I turn around, hearing static and talking.
"You must find out what Jimmy done!" "Tell anyone!" "Help us!" I approach it steadily and grab a ghost communication device, suddenly determined, I grab a few extra things with it, a master key, and some deadlocks.
"I will find you out, Jimmy. Just you wait." And I journey forth, into a chaotic night of horror.
