Garden Warfare 3

It was just a typical day. I was on my Xbox playing some Garden Warfare 2 when I got an email on my phone from an unknown person. The email read: "Congrats! You have been chosen as the first person to ever test Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare 3 in its early alpha stage. Your game will arrive at your doorstep tomorrow." Was this a joke? Am I really going to be testing PvZ Garden Warfare 3 tomorrow? I was happy, and curious at the same time. Why would they choose me? When did this happen? PopCap and EA never announced anything about releasing a new Garden Warfare or PvZ game, PvZ Heroes was their latest game. Either that, I didn't care. I was super hyped to start alpha-testing the brand-new Garden Warfare 3.

When I woke up the next morning, I heard my doorbell ring. I slowly walked up to the door and opened it but no one was there, except for a black box on the floor. I brought it in, took a penknife to cut it open and I could not believe my eyes, it was Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare 3! The cover looked lazy, with only a peashooter and a footsoldier on the cover, but the peashooter had hollow black eyes and the footsoldier had slight red eyes with some scars all over his body. Apart from all that, the cover looked legit; it could be an official PvZ Garden Warfare game when it finally releases, who knows? I took the disc from the case, inserted it into my Xbox, and started to play.

When I inserted the disc into the Xbox, it automatically put me into the menu screen of Garden Warfare 3. There was no EA or the PopCap logo anywhere, it just said - "Garden Warfare 3" on the title. It looked kinda lazy and as I tried to find a match, the only mode that was available was Team Vanquish. Since this was the alpha version, I had to play against bots, but the good thing was, I had access to play the classic 8 characters: Peashooter, Sunflower, Chomper, and Cactus, and for the zombie side, Footsoldier, All-Star, Engineer, and Scientist. I played on the plant side and started a Team Vanquish match. As I started the match, I realized the map looked hyper-realistic and looked almost like a battlefield in Syria where American soldiers and terrorists would be fighting on. I got a bit concerned thinking it was linked somewhat to real life but I brushed it off thinking it was the new map for the game.

When the match started, I used the Peashooter, my favorite character, and battled the zombie opponents. I actually wasn't surprised when the bots played like total noob bots, not to mention it was just the alpha version. The sound effects sounded almost like real gunshots, almost as if I was playing Modern Warfare, but at least Garden Warfare wasn't as violent as Call of Duty. Even the plant bots on my team played as bad as the zombie bots. I eliminated every single zombie on the field while using my chili bean bomb and hyper ability sparingly, and last but not least, it was time to use my pea Gatling to end the match. When that happened, I saw blood splatter out of the realistic-looking bullet wounds. I won the match, but then it just switched to a screen that said: UNIT 170: TESTING PHASE - COMPLETE. Then it just shut my game down, along with my Xbox. 

I got up from my chair only to get a phone call. It was my friend Dexter. He told me to turn on the news, so I did it. When I read the headlines, I was in shock. "At 10:07 AM today, 50 innocent civilians were brutally killed in Syria by a cybernetic American soldier unit. The war robot was seemingly activated by mistake this morning by a US military testing simulator. Please note that the US government and military forces are aware of this, we will find the person who is responsible for all of this, and he will face severe consequences. My heart immediately sank as sweat poured all over my body. Garden Warfare 3 wasn't a new PvZ game, it was a military combat simulation, to control cybernetic soldiers in the US army. But those civilians, I didn't mean to kill them, what have I done?! I better run, the government is hunting me down, I have to escape before it's too late. Who knows what consequences I will have to face, once they capture me.
