My name is Yuriel Jane Mackenly. When I was young, I had a happy life even without my dad. I was very fortunate because my mom was loving and caring. I had a childhood friend named Jaxel Ace Thompson, who was intelligent, handsome, and somewhat aloof and cold. He often scolded me for my mischievousness, but he was protective of me, which I really liked because even at a young age, I already had feelings for him. We often visited each other's houses since our parents were friends my mom and his aunt, Tita Lhexie. But everything changed in an instant when my mom passed away, leaving me all alone.
Tita Lhexie decided to adopt me, but before that happened, some relatives came and claimed they would take care of me. At first, they seemed kind, so Tita Lhexie was reassured and allowed me to go with them, believing I would be safe. However, they just wanted to take my mom's wealth. We lived in the same house, but they treated me like a servant and hurt me. I continued attending school, but I also became a target of bullies there. I tried to contact my dad using the phone number my mom had given me when she was still alive, but he rejected me too. He reminded me that he had no child and that my existence was just a mistake.
During those times, I decided to leave and abandon that life. I wandered the streets, picking up trash to have something to eat because I was still a kid back then. But I learned to work and find ways to continue my education. I was in my first year of high school when I found a boarding house to live in. It was there that I met Fhaye Cassy Mheron, who became the light of my life. She became my best friend and companion through all the ups and downs. But for some reason, she left without saying goodbye. She stopped contacting me, leaving me alone once again. I became a target of bullies once more until Tita Lhexie found out what had happened to me. She finally adopted me for good, and that's when I felt a mother's love again. It was also then that I saw Jaxel, the boy I had liked for so long. Tita Lhexie transferred me to Jaxel's school to start a new life. But then, an unexpected event happened. I once again encountered my friend who had suddenly disappeared without a word. That's also when the unexpected and overwhelming things began.
