Chapter 41 : Neko Stroll

"Morning, baby sis." Himura saw her big sister walked inside the bathroom to brush her teeth too. "Say, granny told me you've joined another club." Kaoru spat out the toothpaste out and washed her mouth. "That's why you've gone to school a lot, what club is it?" Himura almost choke and spat the minty toothpaste out of her mouth.

"Hey, you okay? I'm just being nosy~" Kaoru joked around and squeezed her cheeks like five year old.

Himura only slapped her hand and placed her toothbrush back. "Volleyball." She shyly admits. Suddenly, her big sister jumped to her and attacked her from behind for a hug. "I'm so proud of you!! Did granny and gramps knew about this?" She nodded. "And you didn't told me sooner?!" The younger sister rolled her eyes and dragged her feet to the kitchen.

"How are the team?? I bet they're doing fine, right?" Kaoru started bombarding her with questions.

"Nekomata-san is a great coach." Himura said while getting the heated up leftovers from the table. "Nekomata-san? I thought the coach is Sato-sensei."

"I remembered Nekomata-san being Mafu-niisan's head coac--" It finally clicked to her. "Oh!! You've joined the boy's team?! But you're a girl!" Himura only clicked her tongue and lit up when their grandpa walked into the room. "Good morning, sweeties." He greeted them and sat down to watch the news while sipping his morning tea.

"Gramps, you know Sara-kun joined the boy's volleyball club?" Kaoru asked him, still sceptical.

He was so focused on the new news, that he just bluntly saying some stuff. "Yeah, she said she's the manager...."

"Manager?!"

Kaoru has been too focus on college and her part-time job that she forgot about her baby sister's life.

"Hey~ can I meet your team?"

"No."

Now their grandma joined them with eating her new diet and Himura was paying attention to her. Since they were in their late teens, their grandparents are getting older. So sometimes they checked up on them.

"Woo boy, why do I love this tea so much?" Their grandpa said jokingly. "Because you're an idiot." Himura joined in and both of them laughed hysterically but the other Himuras just looked at them weirdly. "Weird sense of humor."

Walking to school, Himura got to breath easily now. Usually, Hoshiko and Emika would tackle her by now but morning practice wasn't even starting until a few minutes.

Whilst walking to the gates, Himura bumped into someone. "Watch it, nitwit!" It was Chou. When she realized it was Himura, Chou blushed and stuttered. "Oh, h-hi, Sara...."

Himura waved at her and checked the giant clock on the building, "Late for morning practice." She mumbled to herself and ran while waving a goodbye to Chou.

"Phew..." Chou let out a sigh and calmed herself down. 'That was so stupid of you!! Why are you having a crush on a girl anyway?'

"Chou-san?" She turned to see Hikaru?

"Oh, Yukimura-san. Why are you doing here so early?" Chou asked sheepishly.

Hikaru pointed out that she was the usual late member, not her. "Oh yeah, you're right..I was using my bike."

"Watch out!" Himura dodged the ball and ducked down to Akahana's height. She won't repeat the same incident again. "Sorry!" Teshiro apologized and bowed. Himura waved it off.

What was he doing?

Teshiro was trying to do a ceiling serve. It dink a little but it was still powerful and fast.
