- HIM

"him, who i'm looking out the window. him, who's been making me question if i'm even straight at this point. him, who i haven't even directed a word at. him, him him him him. him, who has been in my mind ever since i saw him start working at that cafe." minho let everything out in his secret notebook, everything that is on his mind or has been bothering him.

"but do i even know his name?" a barely audible sound from the pen leaving a black ink trace wherever minho wrote on the thick front cover notebook.

18:38, the navy blue wristband watch on his wrist read, though minho had things to do such as study, he ignored the void he was feeling inside his chest provoked by pure guilt since he was shamelessly ignoring his studies, which his parents were pressuring him about them. some quiz was coming up and his parents wanted for him to get a good grade, like any other parent out there unless they don't care about their kid.

minho had always been a bookworm and was a straight a's type of guy, he didn't like his called "titles" but preferred to simply let it go and ignore them, he just doesn't like to get in trouble and being scolded so he always does things whenever he's asked to or even before someone asks him to. up until this point everything was good, but oh? let's not forget about that "him" minho was writing about earlier, that "him" that has been occupying his mind these past days.

every day, minho would study or do schoolwork on his table beside his room's window that had a not so incredible view, but he stayed there to get fresh air and peek out through the window to see new things every day. and one of those things, was a person, a person that took place in minho's mind without any single permission given, but let's be honest here, of how i've described minho, do you think he would go up to that guy and start a conversation like anyone else would? exactly, a straight up no. will he keep writing on his diary he hides from his parents under his mattress after he's done writing and appreciate the other male's angelic beauty? yeah pretty much.

a sweet voice vibrated it's way to minho's ears, snapping him back to earth. "come down for dinner, sweetheart," his mom ordered, offering her son a sweet smile to which he almost immediately nodded, the faint noise from a door closing was heard and the atmosphere felt different now.

minho obediently went along with his mother's previous order, he stood up from his seat and might add that it was way too quickly so his hand traveled to his forehead, an exhausted sigh leaving his mouth as he made his way to his bed, cautiously walking up to it so he didn't trip on his own feet or on a random object that served as an obstacle in his way. when he was finally in front of his bed, he sat on the soft surface, sinking in his seat and letting the dizziness fade away, all this was a side effect of skipping meals since he had been "studying" for quite a long time.

studying what though? that guy's beauty probably, because his gaze never met the books under his hand grasping on a pencil.

as soon as he felt much better, he slowly stood up, taking in a deep breath and made his way to the white wood door in his bedroom and wrapped his hand around the handle, turning it to the side and making his way to the kitchen. few seconds pass by and he's finally seated down on the chair, the shiny glass table displaying in front of his view as well as his delicious looking meal as well.

barely audible chewing sounds echoed across the walls of the dining room, until mrs. lee decided to break the previously mentioned silence, "how's schoolwork going? noticed that you skipped a meal so you could study more, it's a lot right?" she locked gazes with her son with a blank expression on her face. "it's alright, i pay attention to classes either way so i know all of it already," "you do? that's great, please take care of yourself either way, school is important but your health comes first." minho smiled at the caring woman's words and nodded, and that's where the conversation ended as they continued eating.

at least 30 minutes passed by and Minho was once again in his room and staring at his phone screen, he was scrolling down on his instagram feed when he stopped at a certain post that caught his attention in a  split second.

his eyes gazed down every feature of the image, the guy in the picture didn't exactly show his face but his long and blonde hair, minho sat up on his bed as he squinted his eyes at the picture and furrowed his eyebrows, noticing that the person in the picture seemed quite familiar, he stared at it for a good one minute, his head playing so many thoughts trying to put the pieces together.

"who are they..? why do they look so familiar?" minho muttered under his breath, furrowing his eyebrows, "HIM? THAT CAFE BOY!?" he whispered yelled, not wanting to disturb anyone inside the house.

minho's expression was the pure definition of the word shocked, his eyes went wide as he realized who that person was. his thumb hovered over the screen, coming to a final decision to tap on the profile picture which took him to that guy's profile, "hwang hyunjin huh? pretty nam- OH? HE GOES TO THE SAME COLLEGE?" once again, shock filled minho's body, he turned off his phone and layed on his bed facing upwards, staring at the plain white ceiling in his bedroom as he smiled to himself.

"there's no way it's him, right?"
