5 DAYS LATER

Kevin woke up with a terrible pain in his stomach again.

" Hey, morning sleepyhead." Smiled Erwin.

"Uncle Erwin... My tummy hurts..." He started crying.

"Come here." Erwin said lifting Kevin up in his arms. Then he checked his diaper but even on the fifth day, there was just pee, no poop. It had been more than a week since Kevin had pooped.

"I'm gonna change your diaper, okay ? And then we'll go have breakfast."

"I don't wanna eat anything !" Kevin cried.

"Calm down Kev."

" It hurts a lot !" Kevin screamed.

Erwin made him lie down on the bed and went to the cupboard to get a shirt, a pair of shorts and boxers for Kevin.
Then he took his clothes and diaper off and after cleaning him up, he got him dressed up again.

Then they headed off to see Dr Jaeger.

DR JAEGER'S CLINIC ( INSIDE HIS OFFICE)

" This isn't good, I'll have to give him a treatment for this." Said Dr Jaeger.

" Do what you have to do Doctor." Said Erwin.

" Yeah, I'm gonna go get some things, please excuse me."

Erwin stood up and stroked Kevin's back.

" It's gonna be okay."

" It still hurts." Kevin teared up.

Dr Jaeger returned with a tray that had quite a lot of stuff in it. He started preparing everything up and asked Erwin to make Kevin lie down on the bed.

Dr Jaeger joined them in a couple minutes.

" Alright Erwin, this is painful for kids, if you want to wait outside, you can, I'll use a helper but if you don't, then please help me follow all the steps properly."

"I'm going to stay here, please proceed."

" Okay, turn him over on to his stomach."

Erwin followed. But Kevin got a hint about what was going to happen, if you get turned over, it means you're getting a shot.

"NO !! NO !! I don't want a shot ! NOO !!"
Kevin screamed.

Seconds after he was turned over, he felt cold fingers slide through his boxers and he turned his neck around to see Dr Jaeger pull them down. He moved his legs and tried to get up but Commander Erwin's iron grip was too strong for him.

"Noo please !!" Kevin begged as he dug his head between his arms, everything was pitch black, his tears were continuously trickling down his cheeks, his warm breath was making it hard for him to breath but he clutched his arms around his head as tightly as he could.
Then he felt something wet against his bum and he clenched his muscles together.

"Kiddo, relax, you need to relax or it's only going to hurt more than it has to." Dr Jaeger said while patting his bum.

" Kevin, please." He said again, rubbing his bum in circles.

But Kevin didn't and seeing this, Dr Jaeger went on. He wiped Kevin's bum again with alcohol and gave him the shot.

Kevin gasped as the sharp needle touched his skin, he felt it go deeper and the pain increased. He screamed and he tried to move but he failed.

Dr Jaeger then slowly injected the fluid.

Kevin felt his bum burn from the inside, the pain was flowing to his legs and back. It was severely painful. He screamed his lungs out as it kept on hurting.

"That's it, that's it... All done." Dr Jaeger said taking the needle out.
He kept the wet cotton on the spot and pressed it to prevent blood from flowing out.
"Erwin, keep a hand on this, I'll be right back."

Commander Erwin finally let go of Kevin's little legs and back.
Kevin started to move his legs back and forth weakly, the pain wasn't going away, it was pulsating and burning intensely.

Dr Jaeger discarded the syringe in the wastebin and came back with a small bottle and a bandage.

"I'll take it from here." He said touching the cotton, he wiped the spot again and again, pressing it after short intervals. Every time that he pressed, Kevin would startle.

"Here Erwin, throw it in the bin please." He handed the cotton pad to Erwin. Then he swooped a rubber glove from his front pocket and wore it. Then he gave the small bottle a few vigorous shakes and opened it up.

Kevin turned around, his arm still on his eyes, his entire face was red and wet with tears and he was also sweating.

"Ow..." He moaned and kept a hand on his bum. "It hurts !" He screamed.

Erwin scooped him up in his arms and rubbed his back gently in circles.

" It's over Kev, it's over."

He felt comfortable in Erwin's arms, it was better than lying there on the bed. He wanted to be with his Dad right now, far away from this scary place. The last visit convinced him that maybe Dr Jaeger isn't that horrifying, but now he was sure that he was.

"Looks like he doesn't want to lie down again, I'll just do it anyways." Dr Jaeger said pouring a few drops from the small bottle onto Kevin's bum.
Kevin turned around still sobbing.

"It's nothing, just a moisturizer."

"I- i don't wa-want a m-m-moriz-zer." Kevin hiccuped.

Dr Jaeger quickly rubbed it and then applied a bandage on the spot.

"Everything's done."

Erwin gently pulled his shorts and boxers up and then started to pat his bum politely as an attempt to make the pain go away.

"Here you go Erwin." Dr Jaeger handed the small bottle over to him.
" Apply a few drops and massage a bit every morning and night for a week and a half. Also, make sure to change the bandage after applying it."

"Alright." Erwin said shaking his head.

"Hey, look at me kiddo, I'm sorry." Dr Jeger scruffed Kevin's hair but Kevin didn't lift his head up, instead he dug it deeper inside the space between Commander Erwin's shoulder and neck.

"You lost a friend Doctor." Erwin teased.

"Ah, I'm gonna make up someday."

"Alright Doctor, we'll leave. Thank you for everything. One last thing, can I ask you why this shot was given cause i have no idea."

" Yeah sure. That fluid basically helps the bowel muscles relax, it helps the intestines work efficiently, increases digestion and absorption."

"Oh, thanks again. Have a good day."

"You too Erwin, take care."
