Prologue:
Nothing ever came easy in life. Nothing ever came easy after losing someone you love. Ever since my dad died all I can view was in the middle of black and white. Everything was grey, bland, nothing made me happy, everything made me sad, and at some point everything made me feel nothing.
He once told me over and over the infamous quote of how music speaks for you when words cant. He was right. It spoke like daggers piercing through my heart knowing every word reminded me of him. And knowing that every song bore an infinite amount of pain I simply couldn't take. And as cowardly this sounds, I stopped.
And as annoying as this situation seems, standing on a stage facing hundreds of people, kneeling at the majesty of what music can do i couldn't help but smile.
