Cosette had gone through a lot in her 16 years of life, Adults would tell her she's young and she's got more time but in Solange's eyes it felt like 50 years.
First born in Quebec, Canada to a seamstress and a factory worker, at least that's what she's been told , she only resided in Quebec for a year before a factory explosion took the lives of both parents. Fortunately someone had managed to rescue her from her basket before fire consumed the room that she was in. The next 3 years was spend in an orphanage before being a adopted by a french couple, Mr and Mrs Toussaint who were visiting family in Quebec.
The Toussaint were originally from Paris but moved to London which at the time wasn't a bad idea. The couple had tried for so many years to have a child but were unable to conceive, so they settled for adoption. Thats where she got her name from, Life was getting better for her but life had its ups and downs there came a down. Mr Toussaint was an alcoholic and spent most of the family's earning on alcohol and if he wasn't drinking he was sleeping and only my Mrs Toussaint was being home silvers. One night Mr Toussaint came stumbling in drunk and knocks over a lantern igniting the whole foyer on fire, the fire quickly spread throughtout the house and finally to little Cosette's room.
Agony, thats what it was , Agony. Cosette's legs were on fire in an attempt to stop the pain she jumped out the window, where firefighters and good samaritians help dampen the fire. The two story drop did a number on her which made her spend a long, monotonous 12 months in the hospital also leaving her with burns right below her knees all the way down to her toes causing her to only wear pants and if not that long dresses or skirts. After this hospital stay her next journey was to the workhouse.
Hell on earth.
But being in that hell hole she had also made some friends. Beatrice and Jessica. Cosette took notice that Beatrice was overprotective of her younger sister and at times Cosette found herself being envious of that. They were very kind girls they had been through a lot just like Solange, along with the two sisters she had also met Spike and Billy.

The Five teenagers took noticed that they all had been through tribulations of life and thats what created their bond. And they became inseparable.
