chapter 1

"KAILYN GET YOUR BLOODY ASS DOWN HERE FOR BREAKFAST!!!" my mother yelled up the stairs I groaned and walked down the stairs.

When I got downstairs there was a letter in my spot. I picked it up and glanced at my brother Marcus (yup that's right Marcus Flint yes I am a Flint but you wouldn't think that I am not a stuck up prejudice prat like the rest of my family I just act like it around them so I don't get disowned) and then opened the letter. I squealed with delight. IT WAS MY HOGWARTS LETTER!!! I have been accepted into Hogwarts!!! I told my mother that I was going to Diagon Alley to get my school supplies. She gave me the regular "Don't talk to mudblood's" speech and handed me plenty of money for all the stuff I need.

I grabbed some floo powder stepped into the fireplace and yelled, " DIAGON ALLEY!" before I disappeared in a cloud of green smoke.

I stumbled into Diagon Alley with my list and money. I walked through Diagon Alley collecting my stuff on the way through

I saw a copper skinned family that looked like they were searching for something. I walked up to them deciding that they could probably use some help since they appeared new to the whole magic world thing.

"Hi, I am Kailyn do you need help finding something?" I asked.

"Oh, I'm Rosie Jordan and this is my son Lee. It would great if you could show us the wand shop." the lady asked politely.

"Sure" I said and we started walking to Olivandor's wand shop.

"Thank you, dear" Rosie said.

"No, problem do you know where to get everything else you will need?" I asked making sure the wouldn't need anymore help.

"We will find everything, dear, thanks again for your help."

"Anytime" I said, then added,"I will see you around later then, I guess."

I smiled and went home. When I got home I ran to my room to put everything in my trunk. after that I changed into my pj's and climbed into bed excited to go to Hogwarts next week.

I woke up at 9 am the next Wednesday. I am going to Hogwarts today!!! I climbed out of bed, did my hair and make up then walked downstairs for breakfast. After breakfast I grabbed my mother's arm and we apperated to Kings Cross station. Mother gave us the regular mudblood speech then disapperated back home. We climbed on the train and I found an empty compartment while Marcus searched for his friends. Before we left I had put on my robes so that I would not have to change while on the train. so I pulled out my book that I had packed into my carry on and started to read. Not long after I had finished my book we pulled into Hogsmeade station. I left my compartment and walked towards the man that was in charge of taking us across the Black lake. I was put in a boat with a blond girl named Annabeth Skye and a ginger named Elizabeth Archer. It took about 5 minutes to cross the lake and 1 of the boats had flipped. When we were finally across a stern looking woman stood there waiting for us after her speech, that I had zoned out during, she led us into the great hall with a hat on a stool. The hat sang this strange song and then Mcgonagall started to call names. The first person called was Elizabeth.

The hat mumbled something then yelled," RAVENCLAW!"

Five kids later it was my turn.

"Flint, Kailyn" Mcgonagall called.

Everyone went silent as I walked to the hat. When the hat was set onto my head I felt nervous.

"You are very smart but not a Ravenclaw, you are very kind but not a Hufflepuff so it is either Slytherin or Gryffindor. hmm I think it ought to be...................Gryffindor!!!"the hat yelled.

The Gryffindor table cheered I looked over at Marcus. He was staring at me and looking furious. Oh no I am probably going to be disowned. Flints are always Slytherin. Where will I go? Nobody else in my family will take me in for being a Gryffindor. I guess I will just have to wait and see I decide. I then go back to watching the sorting.

Lee is called up next he mumbles something to the hat and it shouts "Gryffindor!"

The whole table cheers excited to get another Gryffindor.

Next is Annabeth she sits there for a few minutes just mumbling to the until it yells "Gryffindor!"

The Gryffindor table cheers again. 2 more students get sorted the first one into Hufflepuff and the second into Slytherin. After everyone is sorted the food magically appears onto the tables while some of the first years stare at the food in awe the rest of us eat. Soon enough dinner is over and the prefects lead us to the common room. After finding my room that I share with Annabeth I go back to the common room to find my friends. I find Lee talking to two identical red headed boys.

"Hi Lee" I say when I walk over.

"Hello" He says then looks down blushing.

I then turn to the twins and say," Hi, I am Kailyn Flint and you are?"

They stared and one said, "I'm Fred Weasley and this is George" He says smiling at me

"Nice to meet you, I have to go to bed before Annabeth starts yelling. Good night." I say then walk upstairs to my room to find Annabeth passed out in her bed. I change and brush my teeth quietly as to not wake her then I crawl into bed and fall into a restless sleep.
