chapter one

"Mannon, come on." Someone shakes me as my eyes slowly open. I turn to see her. Skylen. She's been my best friend for two years now. I met her at a party that my roommate was throwing. I bumped into her and she actually took me back to my apartment so I wouldn't wreck or anything. From then I knew she was the purest human. And now here we are. Best Friends that are now roommates. I throw my arm around her and pull her closer to me. She giggles but gives into it by putting her hands on my waist. "Manny we gotta go downstairs." She pushes me. "Oh come on you know you don't want to wake up." I look into her eyes and smile. She hums and lifts my arms off of her and stands up. She was only in a white tank top and spandex but God she was so beautiful. "Fine im coming." I groan as she laughs and runs out of the room to downstairs. I get up and change into black ripped jeans and a cropped sweater. I brush my light brown hair. When I'm done I walk downstairs to see niall and Louis and Harry downstairs. They see me walk in and the attention turns to me. "What? Do I have something on my face?" I say confused. They laugh and shake their heads. Niall clears his throat and says "you should check your stomach." I look down to see my belly button was pierced. I turn my attention back to the boys and now also sky who looked shocked. "i remember now. I was upstairs and this guy was going around asking people if they wanted one and I said sure but I was wasted so I didn't have time to think about but it actually suits nicely." Everyone looks at me like they've seen a ghost. "Oh my god guys it's just a piercing it's not permanent I can take it out." I say laughing. I turn to the fridge and grab the milk and put some in a glass. I walk to the counter and sit the glass done before jumping on the counter to have my legs dangle off. Louis then leans against the fridge in front of me and I just sip on my milk. "You really like milk don't you?" Louis asks smirking at me. "Yep" I go back to my milk. Sky walks over to the counter and sits just like me. "My head hurts." She says laying her head on my shoulder. "your really lightweight sweetheart." I say giggling. "Niall can you get the tylenol?" He gets two out and hands them to sky. She takes them. "Guess what?" I turn to sky and lightly shake her thigh. She looks at me excited but also curious. "You're coming with me to my shoot today and you get to watch me work." Sky squeals and hugs my neck gently. "thank you so much i want to do exactly what you do." She says. I look down at my phone "well you might want to go get ready we have to leave soon." I smile at her as she jumps off the counter and as soon as she's on her feet she runs upstairs. I laugh quietly to myself and go back to sipping my milk. "Could I come?" Louis asks. I look at his bright blue eyes and he seems really interested in my job and so is sky. "Sure why not?" I say. We both walk to the door and slip our shoes on. "The only real reason I'm going is because I know that niall will make me go play golf and im so not down for that." I chuckle at Louis and pat his shoulder saying "oh yeah we know." Trying to stop laughing. We here footsteps run through the apartment and closer to us. We both look at each other and smile and shake our heads at her silliness. I thought it was cute. "Okay okay I'm ready!" Sky squeals while running towards us standing by the door. "Alright alright." I shake my head and laugh at her silliness.

"Woah" is all that sky says when we walk into the giant building. She looks all around us so impressed. I'm used to the way the studios look even though none of them are the same. It's always the same. White walls. Dressing rooms. Then the studio. My favorite is the dressing room. "I'm gonna go get my key to my dressing room. I'll be right back." I say turning around to face them before walking off deeper into the lobby. I wanted sky to come because I know she loves what I do and she wants to do it too. And with her here she gets to see what it's like and what she would be doing almost every day. I make it to the front desk and see a blonde girl sitting behind the desk. She sees me walking up and once I get there I say "mannon kennen" with a smile. She hands me the key and tells me directions. I walked back to sky and Louis who was still amazed at the place. "Alright before you guys start drooling about the boring things let's walk down to my dressing room." I say and jingle the key at the last part. Sky let's a small squeal escape her lips. As we were walking I saw a familiar face. I stop, which makes sky and Louis stop looking at me with confusion written all over their faces. "reed? It's been a hot minute." I say hesitantly while slowly walking to give him a hug. "woah I didn't even recognize you." He says pulling back but still holding my forearms. "You look great." He says looking behind me. "Oh uh- thanks. These are my friends Louis and skylen." I say to take his eyes and hands off of me. He walks closer to them and shakes their hand introducing themselves. We say our goodbyes and keep walking to where we were going before the little interaction. Louis grips my hand lightly to get my attention. I look back at him over my shoulder. "How do you know reed?" I don't like talking about him but when people ask I get flustered. "Um just old friends." I stutter out. "oh look we're here."  I pull on a smile to brighten the mood. "Skylen you may do the honors." I say handing the key to her. "I know this may be the dumbass in me talking but this is really the best day ever." All three of us start laughing. "Okay you may open it." I say after she unlocks the door. She turns the knob and opens the door slowly. I'm so used to these dressing rooms that they are  like home to me. I knew this one wasn't going to be so different. Sky squeals and runs into the dressing room and walks up to the big mirror with the lights on top. We all get into the room and my manager is already in their. "Mannon! Finally!" He says hugging me. I hug back and pull back and smile at him to meet his hazel eyes. "Still gorgeous as ever. And I see that you have brought some friends with you." He says looking at Louis and sky looking around the room but once mentioned they turn their attention to us. I completely let go of zayn and I go over to them. "this is sky and this is Louis. There my roommates." I say while pointing to each of them. "Skylen here wants to be a model like me and I thought why not bring her to my shoot and let her see what it's like. But louis just tagged along." I say looking back at zayn. "That's great. And I'm sure you're wondering what the clothing style is, yes?" I nod. He walks to the closest and pulls out a gorgeous blazer dress that was black velvet with gold accents. My lips part at the beautiful dress. "Oh my god that's gorgeous." I walk over to him holding the dress and I touch the ends analyzing it. "I know your style is very elegant but also casual so I thought for this shoot that you could show more of your style for your fans to know more about you." He says. "Also I will have to style you because they cancelled last minute and we have about an hour however we still have plenty of time." He says. "This is amazing zayn thank you." I say still amazed at the dress. "Will you be wearing something under this or will you go bare because they are telling me it would look good with a white top underneath but I want to see what you say." Zayn says laying the dress down on the styling chair. "I think that I will go bare just because it would look good with the hair style I have in mind. Its the wet look I know many people do it but I've never done it and I think it would look really sexy with this." I finish and I sit in the chair as he starts doing my makeup. "Yes it would. You know you would really make a could stylist too." He laughs softly. "I get that alot." I agree. "sky you can come sit on the counter and you can watch him do my makeup." I look at her blue eyes and she walks over and hops on the counter in front of me.

A/n
This is a fanfiction if you are confused but it is different from of the most that you have read I'm pretty sure. But I think this will be really good and I hope that people will read it. I will also be creating a playlist of songs for this book. Those will help you picture alot of scenes and the aesthetic. Hope you enjoy! <3
