Chapter 9

Kang Ryu:

I open my eyes and smile as soon as I saw his sleeping yet peaceful face. I reach out my hand and carefully caress his cheek. It's been a long time I saw him like this. I playfully swirl my fingers through the strand of his black hair. It was looking soft and fluffy, tempting me to do it.

When I decided to my body, I quickly groan from pain and glared at the sleeping vampire. "You beast, I did told you to go easy on me especially today is the trip," I whispered and sighed. Despite the pain, I forced myself to stand up.

A hand grip my wrist and pull me back to the bed. "I never promised." He replied with a lazy smile on his face. He hugs me behind as if caging a bird who wants to flee. I decided to stay still knowing no matter what I do, he won't budge.

"Come on, it's time for me to go." I chuckled. Even though I want to be with him for a minute longer, I know I have to handle much more bigger travel. Taehyung's eyes opened slowly, a bit serious knowing what I meant. He releases me and stood up as I did too.

"You know, I still haven't agreed about you getting send off." He said with mixed emotions while getting a towel to shower. I smiled seeing how bitter he was. I know that he trusts me with all those missions knowing our past but he is just worried. For that, I know it's not right to make joke about it, especially when someone is worried about you.

"Then, how about we both carry a device where it can send signals if I'm in danger or in need of help? I'm pretty sure we have one in our facilities." I suggested. He stopped in his tracks and turn to look at me.

"Why don't we shower together?" He asked, avoiding the suggestion. I just nodded and followed him. I chuckled a bit when I know this vampire is going to come with us no matter what it takes.

Kim Taehyung:
"I'm sorry Professor but he really is hard headed! I tried to talk to him a lot of times about this." Ryu sighed and I thought what an incredible liar she was. She never talked to me about that. In fact, I know she wants me to come too. She knew that a group that consist only Jungkook as a man and a vampire, is still in grave danger, especially when we are dealing a possible devil.

"Yes, I really did tried hard! He just won't listen." Ryu once again said.

I stopped myself from smiling but it seems it has failed when Chief stared at me for a second and looked at Ryu to roll his eyes. Now at this point, I am smiling.

"This is why I hate lovers." Chief mumbled. "Fine, do whatever you want but my only order is for you guys to stay safe." He said and waved his hands to say goodbye.

"Aren't you going to facilitate the traveling machine for us?" Jungkook shouted.

"Who said you're using the machine? If you're going to fight with the devil, might as well use your vampire skills." Chief said and finally exited the room. Jungkook groaned in laziness whereas Areum just nudged at his side, clearly to stop his childish act.

"Jiyeon, where do you think where Jimin is right now?" I asked with seriousness in my voice. Everyone's eyes then shifted to her. Jiyeon thought for a moment.

"Wait, I thought we are going to see Libra?" She asked.

"Not really. We just have to see Jimin physically to see any signs of the devil's resurrection and if not, then we can safely say that we still have an adequate amount of time. If he is not the devil, then we are doomed. We will be wrecking our brains on who is the devil candidate while looking for Libra." I said coldy.

"Well, he did told me he will stay at Kingdom today." She whispered. She's still worried and anxious. I can't blame her for that.

"Kingdom it is." I said and nodded at Jungkook. With a swift moment, we were all in the Kingdom.

"Can't you guys gave us a heads up next time? You know that we aren't used to it." Ryu complained as she stumbled as well as the others. I quickly stand at her side incase if she will fall.

Ah, what a sweet smell. I thought when the wind passed and had some of her going to my face. I immediately disregard my thoughts off when I noticed that I got sidetracked.

"Well then, shall we go and investigate Jimin first?" Jungkook asked with disgust. He obviously read my mind and I just winked at him. He rolled his eyes and I chuckled. He never changed except when he is with Areum. That man is also down bad. Never in a million years I have expected to also fell inlove with a human when they used to be my pass time to play.

"Hey, are you going to stand there?" Ryu asked, a bit worried as I have been thinking a lot lately.

"Give me kiss my bunny and my feet will be moving in an instant." I flirted. When I saw her flushed cheeks and instantly turn away from me, I immediately smiled knowing that I can still charm her whenever I want and with that, I made up my mind t0 always protect her no matter what will happen in this mission.

When everyone is walking a bit far, I followed. I'm not really worried. I can easily catch up to the with my speed but at some point, Kingdom feels a bit eerie today. There's something wrong with the atmosphere. Hence, I contacted all the knights in this place but to no avail, they only said one thing, which is, that everyone and everything in the area is just doing their usual routine. I also got a message from another knight about Jimin but he only mentioned that he is just doing his paper work.

"Do continue watching him and do not ever get caught or it is either him or I will get your neck ripped." I threatened.

"Yes my King!" He said and we both cut off our lined in our minds.

"Chill out my love. We are still walking. Let's just say hi to Jimin and see how he is doing then we will go off with our Libra adventure." Ryu chuckled.

"I can't." I said and hold her hand. She must've notice how tense I was when she kissed my cheek.

"Don't worry, we survived a lot of challenges. I'm pretty sure we will survive this one"

"I hope so too Vasílissa mou. I truly hope." I held her hand tightly and this time, she kissed my lips when everyone is not watching. In an instant, all those worries disappeared.

Ah, did I really deserve this woman?
