Chapter fifteen

"Valllllllllllerie!" Sofia calls from downstairs, "Matthews here!" I giggle and look in the mirror. I've put my blonde hair in a bun and put a light pink dress on. I quickly splashed some rose water on my face as I run down the stairs.

"Good luck." Sofia passes me in the hall, giving me a wink.

I laugh and meet Matthew at the door of the sitting room. "Hi."

He grins and walks over to me.

"I see you got the guts to show up." Dom stalks down the hall and stops beside me, shooting Matthew a scowl. "I want you to leave."

He grins, "Fine." he looks back at me with a warm smile, "Let's go, Valerie."

I was torn. I love Dom. He's so perfect and amazing, but right now he was being so arrogant and mean. I barely know Matthew, but so far he seems very nice.

"Val, tell him to leave." Dom puts his hand on my shoulder. I shiver and feel all giddy.

"Valerie, please?" Matthew gives a sad smile, "Let's go?"

I look back and forth between them. "Dom," Dom smiles cockily at Matthew, "I think we're going to leave now."

Doms jaw clenches, his eyes narrowing. Matthew takes my hand and leads me to the door. "I got the day all planned out. Were going to-"

"Val, if you go with him..." Dom grabs my shoulder a little to harshly.

"You'll what?" I put my hands on my hips. Matthew stands right behind me, his coldness radiating from his body to mine.

"I'll never talk to you again."

"Thank you." I smirk. I feel Matthews laughter vibrating in my body.

Dom just watches us walk away. Just to make my point, I slip my hand into Matthews. He smiles and moves closer to me.

"Okay okay, I know what this is. Your just paying me back for kissing Courtney! I'm sorry, Val." I hear his foot steps coming closer. I just pull Matthew faster with me until we get to a wagon.

"After you, M'Lady." he bows and waves me in.

I laugh, "Thank you, sir."

We laugh and get in. He pulls on the rains, snapping two white horses from there daze.

"Val, please." Dom grabs the reins, keeping us here, "I'm sorry. I don't even like her. It's you." he looks to sad to be legal.

"And I like Matthew. Good bye, Dominic." I clench my jaw and grab the reins.

Matthew grins and takes them from me. In one quick wip we ride down the road, leaving Dom in the grounds of the castle looking stunned and heart broken.

"So, where are we going?" I put my head on his shoulder.

"Your not scared of the water are you?" his voice is so soft I melt into him.

"No, one day I want to sail around the world." I smile proudly.

"That's ridicoules!" he laughs, "Everyone knows, if you sail to far, you fall off the earth!"

"We'll see."

He playfully rolls his eyes. And yanks the horses to a stop. I smell the the salty ocean air, making me ache to be in the warm ocean water. "Come on," he grips my hand.

I smile at his politeness as he helps me down. We walk down a cobble stone path and stop at a sandy beach.

"This is going to be very cliche, but humor me." he scoops me up in his muscular arms and walks down the beach. I let out a small laugh, resting my head on his cool shoulder.
