*Hours later*
-Taehyung's POV-
I haven't spoken since Jodie and Jimin arrived. I limited myself to listen to Jungkook's words and Moyeon's explanations. But I didn't dare to give any opinion or think about the current circumstances. The only thing inside my head was the agony of seeing my past coming back at me. According to what I heard, Jimin's mother is seeking revenge because Jodie's father cheated on her with my mother. Even though Jodie and I share the same biological mother, her father has always been there for me when I was younger. So, I consider him someone from my family, like a step-father. It is bizarre to think that Jimin's mother is coming back for revenge, personally targeting me because I'm important to her ex-husband.
So far, Jimin contacted the agency, and Jungkook told the members about the situation. Everyone came to my apartment as soon as Jungkook explained everything that happened, and Jodie looks like me. Both of us don't know what to say. After all, the past is surging again, and there's nothing we can do about it. We can only accept it and endure as much as possible.
I needed to take some air after hearing my friends discussing the current events. They are trying to convince Jungkook and me; to leave Seoul with them and come back when the vacation season ends. I didn't listen to any of their suggestions. I made my decision long ago, and it is still the same.
-The rain is pouring, and it seems that you don't care. – I heard someone say, making me turn around, finding Moyeon entering the bedroom.
-I know, so don't tell Jungkook about it. He might kill me if he sees that I'm not taking care of myself. – I slightly grinned while sitting down on the edge of the balcony's door, looking at the rain covering the city.
-Well, let's get scolded together. – Moyeon said before sitting in front of me, both sitting close to the raindrops. Moyeon didn't say anything for some seconds, but then, she sighed before placing her knees close to her chest. -Did you honestly think that I was behind the message? – Moyeon questioned.
-It didn't make sense, so I had my doubts. However, my energy drained emotionally, and I wasn't thinking wisely to perceive that you weren't behind the text. – I admitted while keeping my eyes glued on today's greyish day. -I'm sorry. – I sincerely said.
-It's okay. I understand the position you are in, and I won't blame you for what happened. But keep in mind that you have me on your side. – Moyeon kindly said, which I nodded for in response. -Tae, you have an astounding family out there; why is it so hard for you to see it? – Moyeon worriedly questioned.
-I appreciate what I have, and I'm grateful for everything that I own. The people out there are my everything, but I can't deal with them right now. – I disclosed, feeling tired about the entire situation.
-Listen, your company is aware of what happened today. So, Jimin's mother won't get away so quickly. – Moyeon assured me.
-Mo, it's been years since I last heard from that woman and everything that those days represented. I thought I left them behind, but they came back like a hurricane. And honestly, I don't know how to handle these emotions anymore. – I admitted before placing my hand out, letting the raindrops wet my palm.
I watched the water sliding through my skin, my hand getting soaked in the rain while feeling the unique breeze of a rainy day.
-I can be in your mailbox every day if you let me. – Moyeon assured me before patting my head. -I'll check how the meeting is going; don't linger too much time near the rain. – Moyeon said before standing up from the floor, briefly walking towards the entrance of the bedroom.
Eventually, I stopped hearing footsteps, making me believe that I was alone. Briefly, I pulled my knees close to my chest, placing my head against them. I took a deep breath before crossing my arms, hiding my face in between. Then, I took a deep breath before extending my legs, once again resting my head against the door frame. The soft melody inside my head made me hum, causing me to sing in a low volume. Blue and Grey is the song I can think about right now, so I followed the melody while imagining the stage. The place I feel free and powerful, fearless and courageous. Suddenly, someone began to sing along, making me look back at the door, noticing Jungkook's presence. He walked towards me while soothing me with his voice, not leaving his eyes from mine.
Jungkook sat in front of me, smiling before holding my hand as both of us stopped singing.
-You'll catch a cold if you stay here. – Jungkook told me, making me snicker slightly.
I knew he would say that.
-I'll move in some seconds. – I said before looking back at the city.
-Alright. – Jungkook said, not wanting to argue about something so silly. But then, he sighed before letting my hand go. -Taehyung, what are you thinking? – Jungkook asked.
-I think about the past, the brighter parts, but also the darker ones. I think about the things I own and don't want to lose because of the pain I've endured. – I spoke, opening up to Jungkook.
-After today, nothing else will happen. The company is taking care of everything related to Jimin's mother, and you'll see this situation as a disturbing memory. Nothing else. – Jungkook assured me, encouraging me to stay positive.
I nodded at Jungkook's words, not knowing what else to say to him. Briefly, he started to stroke my hair, making me look at him. Jungkook smiled before sitting closer to me, trying to comfort me with his touch and presence. I leaned towards him while closing my eyes, briefly meeting with Jungkook's chest. He began to caress my head before placing his arms around me.
-Hey, I know you don't want to talk about it, but I believe the hyungs are right. We shouldn't stay in Seoul until everything gets solved. – Jungkook said, making me get away from him.
-Do you want to go with Jodie and Jimin? – I asked.
-I don't differ from your decision regarding that trip, and I won't force you to go somewhere you don't want to be, Taehyung. – Jungkook admitted, bringing me an idea to mind.
-Let's travel together. – I suggested while looking at Jungkook. My partner smiled before nodding, letting me know that I read his thoughts.
-We should stay away from Seoul because of the current circumstances; however, we can still have fun together. – Jungkook spoke before taking my hand, briefly standing up and helping me get on my feet. -Come on, you are going to get sick. – Jungkook said, making me chuckle slightly.
I followed Jungkook as he closed the balcony's entrance. After that, he took a soft blanket and placed it over my shoulders. Then, he stood still while looking at me, smiling while both couldn't keep our eyes away from one another. I eventually grinned back, feeling better after this complicated day.
