You went home to get your ninja tools and gear. Once you got your things, you went to the Hokage's office. 'Hmmmm I wonder what rank this mission is going to be' you thought. You got to the building, and you ran up the stairs and once you got to the right floor you ran down the hall to Lady Tsunade's door.
Tsunade is seen with her hand over her face deep in thought. Her desk was filled with paper work that was half finished. Some were in piles while some were sprawled out on her desk. 'This is bad....We are stretched thin...and not only that-' her thoughts are interrupted by you.
You burst the door open "M'lady what happened?" you ask with concern.
" Wait until the others get here, then I will inform you of your mission y/n" She replied with a serious tone.
"But M'lady- argh" you cut yourself off.
You began to pace around the room filled with curiosity and impatience, you stop until you heard your name being called.
"Yo y/n" you heard your name being called with a lazy sluggish tone; you turned and saw Shikamaru with a lazy smirk on his face.
He motioned you towards him. You followed his motioning without hesitation.
"Hey y/n let's hurry this up, so this wouldn't be such a drag. Okay, so I'll get Naruto and Choji, you tell Neji to get Lee and TenTen, and lastly you get Sai and-" Shikamaru paused his sentence, turning around. You followed his line of sight towards the entry of Tsunade's office.
You saw Sakura and Ino come in "That damn Naruto what he is doing, ugh," Sakura said in a low annoyed voice while rolling her eyes.
Shikamaru put his attention back to you. "Uh-anyways change of plans I'll tell Neji to get Lee and TenTen, just go get Sai".
You nodded in acknowledgment. 'Me and Sai by ourselves... I wonder if anything interesting will happen ...' as Your cheeks took this moment and decided to heat up, going from a light pink to a bright rosy red.
"Whats up with you? You feeling alright?" Shikamaru asked, reaching his hand out towards your forehead. This caused you to flush brighter. "Ah, it's nothing, I'm fine," you say as you rush out towards the door.
Shutting the door, you leaned your back against it. You took a deep breath to calm your nerves. I can't believe Shikamaru saw me like that. What was I thinking? You ran towards the appropriate staircase, making your way down and exited the building. As soon as you left, you prepared mentally to go talk to Sai.
