Harry was on his way to the radio station where he and his colleague Louis worked. There were other people too, obviously, but right now, his main partner was the feather haired guy with the big ego. They did a Podcast about Lgbtq+ topics together, since about five weeks. It went pretty well, although it was very risky at first because they lived in a small town where the majority of people were really religious. But they just didn't give a fuck and started broadcasting together. Their boss wasn't very happy with their topic choice at first but after the first days when he realized that they made way more profit than before, he just let them do what they wanted. It was kind of sad to think that most of the Lgbtq+ teenagers in their area were listening to their podcast and asking or commenting through the e-mail account Louis made, extra for them, instead of talking to their parents or other people around their age. It just shows how sick this society was, where teenagers are too afraid to ask their parents and choose to go for a podcast of two strangers.
He pushed the glass door open and stepped into the large brick building where the radio station was located. The two coffee cups he was carrying began to send tingles through his finger tips because the heat seeped through, but his way was soon over so he didn't care that much. He turned around and leaned against the wooden door with his back to push it open, nearly falling inside. "Shouldn't have done that, eh?", asked the silvery voice of his colleague who peaked his head out behind the cardboard wall that secluded their area from the rest of the room. Harry laughed, nodding. "Probably. Here's your coffee, sugarplum."
Louis laughed and took the cup with a thankful smile. Harry walked around the other side of the cardboard wall that was divided by their big grey desk with the same monitors, microphones and other gadgets. Louis leaned back and took a sip from his cup. He immediately winced. "Shouldn't have done that, eh?", Harry repeated Louis' words from earlier with a smug grin, while Louis just flipped the younger lad off. Then he set his cup on the desk and looked at Harry expectantly. "Sooo.. what should we talk about today?"
Harry snatched his phone from the brown leather bag that sat beside the desk and flipped through the notes he jotted down while reading the newspaper two hours prior. After they discussed everything and Louis noted the headlines down on the whiteboard next to them, they finished their breakfast and prepared for the show silently. At this point, Harry was used to the quiet moments before they were live, and he didn't mind them.
Then the "on air" sign, on the outside of the studio went green and Louis introduced the thirty-seventh episode of their daily podcast.

After roughly an hour, they finished the episode and leaned back contently. "That was funny", Louis grinned. Harry laughed slightly and nodded. They bantered through the whole episode and kept discussing the questions of a few listeners, even the hilarious and nonsensical ones. Harry brought up some funny Lgbtq+ facts he searched up last night, until Louis threw his head back because he was laughing so hard. But to be fair, they were really funny. For example, who would have known that the ancient chinese people referred to homosexuality as "pleasures of the bitten peach". They cleaned up the whiteboard and did some more brainstorming on ideas for tomorrow. Somehow, they forgot about time and when they finished their work they both had tears in their eyes from laughing. "Fuck, it's already dark outside. How did we miss that?"
Harry grinned. "I don't know babe, I was lost in the way you nearly suffocate when you're laughing too much."
That was also a thing between them, they kept calling each other pet names. Just for fun, obviously, but it was somehow comforting. To be honest, they really acted like a couple, even if it wasn't true. They left each other Post-Its with random scribbles at weird places in the room, they kept teasing and bickering, and if things got serious, they stuck together.
