Nagyaya si Seb na mag-bar kami. It may be because she wanted to loosen things up with a boozing drink.
I inhaled for some air and then let out a heavy sigh while staring at the door to the balcony.
She just nod her head and timidly smiled at me as she suit herself, wiping the tears in her cheeks.
A smile escaped from my lips and then I lower down my gaze to the phone I'm holding.
I was happily talking with my daughter when she asked something from me and I was caught off guard.
She softly uttered and then I heard her yawn.
Napangiti ako at pinahid ang luhang biglang lumandas sa kanan kong pisngi. My daughter is so caring, it makes my heart swell in so much unameable emotions.
"As much as I wanted you to come here, baby, late na kasi, e... It's ten in the evening na. You should sleep by now.
I chuckled and tried to lighten up my voice because I don't want my daughter to think of me too much. I don't want her to be clouded by her thoughts when she's asleep.
"Okay, mama. I'll tell Tito Karl to comb my hair until I fall asleep pero sing ka muna, mama!" She gleefully said. Good girl po ako, hihi.
"Okay, baby, I'll sing a song for you." I paused and then inhaled for some air to sang Moon River by Audrey Hepburn for Sassy. "Moon river, wider than a mile. I'm crossing you in style some day. Oh, dream maker, you heart breaker. Wherever you're goin', I'm goin' your way... Two drifters, off to see the world. There's such a lot of world to see..."
I can also hear Sassy's deep breathing. Napangiti ako at nagpunas ulit ng luha sa aking pisngi. I ended the call and once again called another person. It was Tres' number.
I bit my lip and close my eyes as I chuckled without a sound.
Do you need me there?"
When he stopped, I laughed and started talking while shaking my head.
