-Liam's POV-
I stepped out of my parent's house into the brisk, chilly, night air and walked down the streets of Wolverhampton. I was in the mood for a warm drink and I needed some fresh air. It was only 7:30 pm, but it was as dark as midnight. Luckily there were plenty of street and store lights to guide my footsteps and keep me safe. It was our Christmas Break, and I was spending it in my hometown with my family. Luckily, no fans or paps knew I was here, so I could walk around in the open without fear. It was only the beginning of December, and luckily, we hadn't gotten any snow. I hate the dreadful white power, but none the less, it was still cold outside.
I walked around, deep in thought when I came up to an unfamiliar corner store, "Royale Coffee Shop". The shop was small, almost unnoticeable, but a beautiful face caught my eye. I peered inside and they only people inside were an old couple laughing, and a small blond girl that looked about my age. As I walked outside of the window of her booth, we locked eyes. She had gorgeous green eyes, that were absolutely stunning. I smiled at her, and she returned it. She looked down at the floor, her cheeks were turning pink from the attention, and her smile grew larger, revealing her adorable dimples. I sped walked to the door and walked inside, the small bell on the door ringing, signalling my entry. I walked up to the counter and ordered a Pumpkin Spice Cuppachino. As I waited for my order, I looked over at the girl, who had already been staring at me. Her eyes grew big as she quickly turned her head, blushing with embarrassment. I let out a small chuckle and walked towards her booth.
"May I sit here?"
"Uhm, yes, yeah, of course you may." She smiled at me, still blushing, as I slid into the booth, opposite from her.
"So what are you having this lovely evening?"
"Caramel Apple Cuppachino, and how about yourself?" She took a sip of her drink as I answered.
"Pumpkin Spice Cuppachino. I've never been to this shop before, I'm hoping it's good. There are almost zero people in here." I looked around, only seeing the old couple from before.
"It's very good in my opinion. I like the quiet and peace, this place is small and people don't really notice it much. But the drinks are delicious and the prices are cheap." She smiles brightly, showing off her dimples again. As she finished her sentence, the barista brought my drink, setting it on a coaster. The drink had whipped cream on top, just how I like it. I lifted the warm cup to my lips and took a small, careful sip of the hot liquid. The drink danced on my taste buds, the drink was pure heaven.
"I have to admit, this is best thing I have drank for a long time. I can see why you like this place so much." I nodded at the girl with a half-smile.
"What can I say? I guess I just have good taste." She let a small laugh retreat from her mouth.
"I never got your name, I'm Liam Payne." I put my hand in her direction with a smile on my face.
"Lucia Barker. You have a very nice name, I quite fancy it."
"Thanks, yours is quite nice too. Pretty name to match a pretty face, right?" Lucia blushed and smiled at the ground, almost as if she hadn't ever gotten a compliment like that in a while, or even ever.
