No One's POV
"So, you have a boyfriend."
"No— well basically yes but no-"
"-and you didn't bother to tell me?"
"I was about to call you tonight—"
"How old is he?" Mrs.Kim asked, her tone strict as she observed Jeongguk's every move, making the male almost shake under her gaze.
"I-I'm twenty-two Mrs.Kim." He replied, not making eye contact with the woman.
"Mom please don't scare him." Taehyung pouted, scooting closer to his mother and looking at her with puppy eyes.
Mrs. Kim's eyes softened as she looked at her son, she ruffled his hair which made him whine, before looking back at Jeongguk .
"Wasn't he a bully of yours though? Why have you taken a liking towards him so suddenly?" She asked.
"I-it's complicated mom.. but please accept us—"
Mrs.Kim clicked her tongue. "Give me some time to trust that man, I'm sure if I visited often we can all get along, right Mr. Jeongguk?"
Jeongguk smiled "Just Jeongguk, Ma'am."
"Well then, mind having a word in private, if you excuse us, son?" She said, looking at Taehyung who confusingly nodded his head and went to his room, leaving a panicked Jeongguk .
"Do you love him?" Mrs.Kim asked, her stare burning the male's eyes, however he answered without hesitation.
"Yes. Very much."
"Will you hurt him?"
"Never, and if I did I'll never forgive myself— he's so precious to me and I can't live without him—" he rambled, leaving Taehyung's mother amused until she decided to cut him off.
"Okay okay, I believe you now." She laughed.
Jeongguk blinked but smiled back anyways, however, he froze when he heard her next question.
"So what do your parents work as?"
The mafia hung his head low, feeling a lump forming in his throat as he blinked his eyes several times.
He took a deep breath and faked a cough, regaining his posture and smiling sadly at the woman.
"My dad is working abroad, for the moment."
Mrs.Kim nodded, then asked "how about your mother?"
Jeongguk kept on his sad smile as he looked into Mrs.Kim's eyes, "she's not here with us, she's in a much better place."
The woman's eyes widened before softening again, a small frown on her lips as she stared at the other male ." May she Rest In Peace."
Jeongguk just nodded, he felt his eyes stinging as he tried his best not to breakdown at the thought of his late mother.
Mrs.Kim got up and pulled Jeongguk in a hug, patting his back softly as the male let out a shaky sigh.
As they pulled away, Mrs.Kim spoke up.
"You can call me mom, by the way." She sad in a soft tone.
Jeongguk took his time to let the words sink into his mind, he bit his bottom lip hard, his eyes watering as he stared at the floor.
"O-okay mom." His voice cracked.
Mrs.Kim ruffled his hair, calling Taehyung to come out, as if the boy wasn't already spying on them with sad eyes.
"I have to go now, son, take care of your boyfriend yeah?" She said, kissing Taehyung's cheeks as the boy nodded, before opening the door and closing it after existing the dorm.
Taehyung looked at Jeongguk who had tears streaming down his cheeks, he quickly rushed to the older's side and sat beside him, holding his face closer to his chest.
"I love your mom." Jeongguk let out a sob, wrapping his arms around the other's waist while he cried on his shirt, not like the other cared about the shirt more than his lover anyways.
"Take it out Ggukie, I won't go anywhere." Taehyung said, his voice almost a whisper, just perfect enough to comfort the older male.
For the next ten minutes, just Jeongguk's sobs and sniffs were heard while Taehyung kept whispering sweet nothings in his ear.
"Wanna lay down a bit?" Taehyung asked, feeling Jeongguk nod against his chest.
"My room or yours?"
"Yours please." Jeongguk mumbled, looking at Taehyung who got up and pecked his lips softly, his cheeks pink when he pulled away.
He held Jeongguk's hand "c'mon."
With that the two ended up in the younger's bed, in each other's arms.
Taehyung looked at Jeongguk who was already staring at him with fond eyes.
He got up and straddled his lap, wrapping his arms around Jeongguk's neck and let out small giggles when Jeongguk tickled his waist a bit.
"You're a strong person, Ggukie." Taehyung said, his voice laced with honesty and softness.
He leaned in and gave the older a peck on his forehead, followed by a peck on his nose, and followed again by a peck on his lips.
When he was about to pull away, he felt a hand behind his neck and the other gripping his small waist tightly.
Jeongguk pulled their faces closer until the gap between them closed, both of them melting into the soft kiss.
