*After listening to Dom's podcast with Adam about the show they played with all the big executives from record labels, it sparked ideas, so enjoy the first story. TW- vomit, language *

As the first America tour, Dom had invited me to join them for a couple dates to hangout, he has been my best friend for a while, as I used to live in Europe but recently moved to the east coast for a job. We FaceTimed and I'd visit him when I came home to visit my family but it was hard to see him most of the time. I'd been on a couple tour dates when I was still living in Europe on the last legs of their 2nd tour.Dom and the band amazed me every night with their talent and confidence. It was such a pleasure to watch someone you love doing something he loves.
Dom was so excited to go to America and tour, to meet all of the fans for the first time and play in new places and cities, try American cuisine, and enjoy a new experience. I was so excited to join him for the first part of the tour.
The second night in New York, Was in Manhattan, as the night before was Brooklyn. The guys had heard that producers were sniffing around, as Dom put it, however they all put it off as something that wouldn't happen after so many rejections.
Dom usually woke up at 5am, buzzing' already, half the time waking me or Adam up to join him in his excitement. However,This morning I was up early before Dom, maybe because I knew how many people had been talking about this show, as I worked at a bar in Manhattan close to the venue, but I didn't want to tell Dom or anyone, so it would be a surprise for him. I knew people would probably sell out the venue. When I woke I got an email sent to me sharing that was the case from the manager, it had been sent to everyone but no one was awake yet. This news was so big, I had to wake Dom, he'd lose it!
I rolled out of bed, Dom in the bunk below me, when my feet hit the ground, I heard him stir.
I knelt by the bunk and tapped on the wood beside the curtain to his bunk gently before opening it. He'd turned toward the curtain when I'd let my feet hit the floor, but his eyes were now closed again. I admired the calmness on his face, it was so rare to see. I pushed my hands through his mousy hair and quietly said his name, my French accent curling over the 'm' in his name. He rustled in his space and grunted a soft refusal to open his eyes, I started again, "Dominic.." he rolled again and sleepily replied, "don't call me that.. that's what my mum calls me when I'm naughty." I laughed and ran my fingers on his cheek, "Morning, I have some news that I just couldn't wait to tell you." This caught his attentions and he turned to face me, his messy hair covering his eyes, he brushed it out of the way and I got the full of his aqua eyes. Honestly, he is so beautiful.
"Can I tuck in?" I asked and he scooted over to make room for me, "what's this about, y'alright?" He seemed concerned and looked down at me as I'd placed my chin on his chest looking up at him.
"I'm alright. This is pretty Insane, are you ready?" He nodded, "I got an email from your manager, the show is sold out."
His eyes went wide, and he bout sprung up, "no fuckin' way, man!"
A yell escaping from his tired throat, raspy. I rolled out of the bunk knowing he'd want to follow and move with excitement. He got to his feet, only plaid pajama bottoms on and jumped around. This woke Adam and the news was broke, exploding through the bus.

Dom was hype all through the day, singing, jumping, unable to sit still with excitement. At our late lunch though, his pace slowed down as the bus pulled into the venue. It was about 5 hours before doors would open and the opening acts would pull in. The first bus to set up the stage had arrived a bit before. I was sat next to Dom, picking at Chinese take out we got. With Dom's favorite food in front of him I was shocked when he was barely eating.
"Ça va?" I asked him, turning toward his face. "Anxious, I guess" he replied, poking at his food not looking at me.
"Cuz it's sold out?" I pressed on.
"Yeah, man. Pretty bonkers, innit?" I could hear the excitement still peaking through but it was saturated with nerves.
"You're going to kill it, you always do. And you've played sold out shows in Europe it will be okay," I nudged him lightly
" you need a cuddle? Or you need your space?" I liked to respect his boundaries, knowing first hand the feeling of anxiety.
"Cuddle." His voice was small and he turned toward me, gently opening his arms. I leaned into his hug, squeezing gently with one hand, the other on his head with my fingers scratching his hair.
"Love you, you're going to kill it." I reiterated.
He held tight for a bit longer then let me go,
"I'll be okay, thanks." His accent thick turning the 'th' into a heavy 'f' sound, I always thought that precious.
He took a deep breath and began to eat again.
