Ch. 24 Why are we going in separate cars?

Aurora and Mia let go of each other as they joined Oliver at the dining table. Aurora sat to his right while Mia sat to his left. 

" Santiago. Can you inform the Chefs that everyone is in the dining room?" Oliver kindly asked Santiago. 

Santiago nods his head in response as he sends a text message to the Chefs through his cell phone. He then lifts his head, and he looks at Oliver. 

" The food should be here right about now," Santiago turns his gaze to the grand doors as three servants entered the dining room with trays in their hands. 

" What are we going to be eating?" Aurora asked, looking and sounding curious as the servants carefully placed the tray in front of her. 

" It looks like egg benedicts with red potatoes and some sausages underneath," Mia responded to Aurora as she curiously stared at her breakfast. 

" You are correct. It is one of Genovian's popular breakfast cuisine," Oliver happily tells Aurora and Mia. 

" Cool! I love egg benedicts," Mia happily tells Oliver as she grabs her fork, and she begins to eat her breakfast. 

" Oh, God! Aurora, you have to try it. These egg benedicts are so much better than what you eat at a restaurant," Mia excitedly stared at Aurora. 

Aurora softly smiled at Mia, finding her younger sister's excitement adorable. She nods her head as she grabs her fork, and she takes a bite of her breakfast. 

" You are right! It is delicious," Aurora adorably stared at her breakfast. 

Oliver, Aurora's maids, and Mia's maids gushed at the twin's cuteness. 

As the three individuals ate their breakfast, Mia gasped in horror, which caused Aurora and Oliver to look at her in concern. 

" What's wrong, Little Princess?" Emmanuel asked from his post while Alastor, Holly, and Poppy looked at Mia with a concerned expression. 

" My baby!" Mia exclaimed, causing Oliver to spit out his food, and he then gets a coughing fit. 

Santiago amusingly and worriedly stared at Oliver as he approached the Ambassador, and he gives the older male a napkin to wipe his face and a glass of water to calm his coughing fit. 

" You have a baby?" Aurora asked, looking and sounding surprised. 

" I forgot I left my baby at my Mom's place," Mia worriedly tells everyone. 

Oliver conflictingly stared at Mia, feeling and looking surprised to hear that his youngest niece is a mother. 

Mia's chocolate brown eyes blinked when she sees everyone staring at her with a mixture of emotions. She then blushed in embarrassment when she realized that they probably believe her pet cat, Louie, is an actual baby. 

" I-I mean! Not an actual baby. A cat. His name is Louie. My um mom gave him to me for my sixteenth birthday," Mia akwardly tells everyone. 

" Ah," Everyone nods their head in understanding while Oliver looked relieved. 

" Little Princess, you need to be more specific next time," Emmanuel teases Mia, causing the young teen's blush to get redder. 

" Sorry. I was looking at that cute cat salt shaker when I remember my Louie. I am now worried my mom will accidentally hurt him or something so that I can feel guilty for hurting her feelings," Mia mumbled, looking and feeling scared for Louie's sake. 

Aurora sadly and worriedly stared at Mia. The young teen felt terrible, believing that her presence is why Mia is developing a strained relationship with Helen. 

" It's okay, Mia. We will stop by your place first so that you can collect your cat and pack all of your belongings," Oliver reassures Mia. 

Mia sighed in relief when she hears that Oliver allows her to bring her pet cat, Louie, into the mansion. 

Aurora bites her lips when she hears that they are going to stop by Mia's home first. She worriedly stared at her empty plate, feeling scared to see Helen since she knows the older female does not like her. 

" Ah! That reminds me, Santiago, can you give the two envelopes to Annalise and Holly, please?" Oliver kindly asked Santiago. 

Santiago pulls out two envelopes from his jacket as he motioned Annalise and Holly to get close to him. 

Mia's chocolate brown eyes blinked when she sees Holly walking towards Santiago. 

" What's in that envelope?" Mia asked, looking and sounding curious. 

Aurora pushed her negativity away as she turns her gaze to Oliver. 

" I bought tickets to the San Francisco Zoo, Aquarium of the Bay, and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, so that you two can bond and get to know one another," Oliver excitedly tells Aurora and Mia. 

" Of course, your maids and bodyguards are going to accompany you two. I know you two can take care of yourself, but I also do not want you two to get hurt," Oliver firmly tells Aurora and Mia. 

Mia wanted to complain, but she held herself since she felt touched that Oliver bought tickets for her and Aurora so that the two sisters can get to know one another. 

Oliver glanced at his wristwatch, and he sees that it is ten in the morning. 

" We should all get going," Oliver informs everyone as he stands up. 

Santiago stepped back so that Oliver can adequately stand. 

" Aurora and Mia," Oliver turns his gaze to his nieces, who turned to look at him. 

" You two will be in the same car. I will be in a different car. After Mia gets her cat and belongings, you two will head straight to the zoo or aquarium afterward, not sure which one you two want to go first," Oliver firmly tells Aurora and Mia. 

Aurora and Mia stand up as their maids and bodyguards stood behind them. 

" Why are we going in separate cars?" Mia asked, looking and feeling confused. 

" Aren't you coming with us to the zoo and aquarium?" Aurora softly asked Oliver. 

" I have important stuff to attend to, but I might see you guys later on in the day," Oliver reassured Mia and Aurora. 

" Okay," Aurora mumbled while Mia nods her head in response. 

" Let's go, everyone," Oliver turns around as he walks out of the dining room with Santiago, his nieces, and the girls' maids and bodyguards following behind him. 

Everyone walked out of the mansion as two limos with Genovian flags parked on the driveway. 

The chauffers of the two limos got out as they run to the back of the vehicle, and they opened the doors so that everyone can get inside. 

Aurora, Mia, and their maids and bodyguards got inside the second limo while Oliver and Santiago entered the first one with a couple of bodyguards following behind them. 

" Santiago. Let both drivers know where we are going," Oliver softly asked Santiago. 

Santiago nods his head as he pressed a black button in his earpiece that is in his ear. 

" Gentlemen. Take the Ambassador and his nieces to the Thermopolis' residence," Santiago firmly tells the chauffers, and when he finished, he then tells them the address. 

Everyone made themselves comfortable in the limos as the two vehicles then leave Renaldi's residence.
