Secrets that are hidden within

Chapter 1

I was running. "Help me!" i screamed and cried, but no one heard me which made me panic. Sweat running down. Tears streaming down my face i found an empty room with a lock on the door.

I had to cover my mouth i was sobbing too loud. *BANG* the loud noise made me jump half way in the air. I looked over at the door, the knob was slowly turning.

"NO STAY AWAY FROM ME" I screamed and yelled. The person who was trying to get in was trying extremely hard. I was holding the door close with all my strength but then my legs weakened.

The tall shadowy figure came closer. and closer. and closer. Trying to get away my back hit the wall. It was dark I couldn't see anything.

His hands brushed my cheek. They were cold yet warm. I kicked and yelled. "STAY AWAY" The figure didn't listen. I tried to loosen myself out of his grip but it was an epic fail.

"Isabelle wake up! Snap out of it" A voice echoed in my head. "Someone get the other guys!" There it was. The echoing voice. I tried to get out of the room where i was cornered.

I tried extremely hard to wake up but it didn't work. Someone was shaking my body vigorously.

Moments later my eyes started to reopen slowly. My vision blurred as if it wasn't truly there. I sat up rapidly, my breath hitched I was freaked out. Sweat was dripping from my forehead.

I started crying, my tears went down my face heavily. I saw Taemin in front of me with a distressed look on his face.

"Hey are you okay?" Taemin asked me. I wasn't quite sure how to answer that. Was I okay? "Yeah" I sounded unsure of the outcome that was heading towards me.

"Key get her some water" Taemin snapped his head back looking at his direction. Later Key arrived with water. "Here. Take this" I did as he said and chugged the water like i was dehydrated. Well it felt like i was.

I was shaking intensely. The glass trembled in my hand as i tried to set it down on the bedside table.

Everyone looked at me like I was a caged animal trying to be released. "We'll be right back" I nodded my head and they headed out the bedroom door.

I could hear arguing outside from my room. It sounded intense.
SHINee POV:
"She never had these before Tae" Onew said. "I know I know" Taemin added. "Does she know?" Jonghyun asked. "Shut up" Key snapped

"She can't possibly know she's only 16" Key said. "We promised her parents that we would keep her safe and she wouldn't find out. Well not yet" Minho uttered.

"Do you think the others want her? I mean think about it. We know that they can control others" Key trailed off. He was right unfortunately.

"The other group is just as...powerful. That can possibly mean something right?" Onew asked in a simple manner.

"Well we do know that the enemy can channel thoughts and make certain people have...dreams" Taemin spoke hesitantly.

"Are you saying she might be the same and we don't know it?" Minho urged. "God okay no more of this let's just see if she does" Jonghyun asked. "Jonghyun- never mind" Key said uncomfortably.
BACK TO ISABELLE
They headed back in the room where they met me again. They all came in the room at the same time. Their gaze were all over me.

"We're going to give you peace for a while okay?" I wondered as why they would do that. "Okay" I said quietly.

They all went to their separate rooms except Key who had gone in Taemin's room. I wanted to know what they were saying so i tiptoed towards the door and put my ear against it.

I couldn't take out what they were saying but they were talking intensely quiet and when they did that I knew it was something important.

Before I could hear anything else, I tripped and my hip knocked something off the stand in the hallway. "Shit" I muttered. "Who's there?" Key shouted. "Just me" I said walking in slowly.

"Oh hey" Key waved to me so i waved back. "Taemin can I talk to you?" He looked at me confused but yet with a disquieted look. "Yeah"

Key removed himself from the room and i headed towards Taemin's desk that was by a window facing the flowers in the garden. I always thought that he had the best room in the castle.

"This won't be long" I said walking closer. "I didn't mean to overhear your conversation with the guys but..." I trailed off. "But one of you said 'she might be the same' what was that?" I asked the question and he looked at me as if it was the wrong question to be asked.

Taemin...tell me"

"I cant. Not yet" At this point I was getting frustrated. "And why not?"

"Because you wouldn't understand. If I told you I would be betraying your parents' trust"

"But they're not here" My eyebrows furrowed down. "Isabelle-" I cut him off "Just tell me"

He took a deep breath and sat down in his chair. "We think that our enemy is trying to connect with you..." My eyes widen in shock. I didn't know they had an enemy.

"Wh-What do you mean?" I stumbled over my words as if my tongue was twisted. "We or I have enemy and they want you" I couldn't believe this. I stepped backwards making my back hit against the wall.

"Hey it's okay, we won't let anything happen to you" That was hard to believe. What if I had another dream where they were after me again? If I had another encounter with them in my dream.

Taemin stepper towards me. "Get rest okay?" I nodded trying to keep myself breathing.

I walked out of his room and headed back to mine. Sitting at the edge of my bed The words 'trying to connect with you' echoed in my head repeatedly.

SHINee POV:

"Taemin!" Jonghyun shouted. "You told her?! I thought we agreed not to. Taemin let out a hard sigh. "I know but she kept asking. She didn't really give me much of a choice" Jonghyun, Key, Onew and Minho all looked frustrated with him.

"How did you hear that anyway?" They all rolled their eyes. "We have vampiric hearing idiot" Taemin almost forgot that they were vampires. They have been keeping that a secret from Isabelle for a long time and if she found out she would freak.

BACK TO ISABELLE

I stayed up half the night staring up at the ceiling. I was afraid to go to sleep because what if the enemy tried to connect with me again?

But another thought crossed my mind. What if they weren't trying to connect with me? But vise versa? This thought was on my mind for a while.

I finally decided that i should rest  My eyes were getting heavy as i trying fighting the urge to fall asleep. But the power of sleep didn't give me much of a choice.

I dozed off letting my body relax and sleep take over me. Let's just hope i don't have another connection...
