Chapter 26

After Tahabi ran for life from Y/N, things were rather slow in the village. Y/N continued to train with Zabuza and his other Senseis even Kakashi. The training with Kakashi was a lot more tougher than he used to but slowly got through it. As for Karin, she started to learn under Tsunade along with Sakura in order to become stronger and more useful in future missions. As for Naruto, he's been a nuisance asking Tsunade to leave the village to go after Sasuke. Of course, she refused to let him go even with the numerous times he asked. Right now, Y/N was sparring against Kakashi on the training field in Taijutsu.

Kakashi: Not bad but you need to be a bit faster.

He blocked Y/N's punch as he tossed him at the river. Y/N flipped in the air as he landed on the water then ran towards Kakashi cocking his fist back. Kakashi dodged his attack as the two of them continued to spar. With the time Kakashi spent training him, he found Y/N to be a more interesting student than Sasuke. When Y/N tried to charge at him with a spin kick, he avoided the attack as he roundhouse-kicked him. Y/N skidded on the ground before coming to a stop as he laid on his back breathing rather heavily along with sweating profusely.

Y/N: Almost got you. Said catching his breath.

Kakashi: Alsmot, but not close enough.

Y/N slowly got to his knees as Kakashi stayed where he was.

Kakashi 'thought': He's made good progress. At this rate, he'll be the rank of Jounin in no time. I wouldn't be surprised if he would be nominated to become Hokage. Though I'm sure Naruto will probably quite upset about that.

Eventually, Y/N got to his feet breathing rather heavily Kakashi walked over to him handing him a canteen. Y/N took it as he opened it and started to drink from it.

Kakashi: You did rather well today. A lot more than the last time we spar.

Y/N: Gotta work hard. Said as he wiped his mouth.

Kakashi: Well it's also important to rest as well.

Y/N: Yeah I know.

He put the lid back on the canteen as he started to stretch in order to relax his muscles.

Kakashi: Tell me, have you been able to use lighting style by chance?

Y/N: No. Too much of a hassle right now.

Kakashi: That so? Well, you are able to use Fire and Water Style rather well for someone at your age.

Y/N continued to stretch as he took a deep breath.

Kakashi: Your father was known as the Tiger of Cloud due to how effective he can using Lighting Style. Since you're his son, I'm sure you can learn those kinds of jutsu. Said as placed his hand on his chin. Perhaps you might be able to learn Chidori as well.

This got Y/N's attention as he looked at him.

Y/N: Chidori? Seriously?

Kakashi: Well, you don't have the Sharingan like Sasuke does, you won't be able to use it as effectively as he can. Though I'm sure you can manage on your own.

Y/N chuckled as he smiled slightly.

Y/N: Naruto is falling behind. Who knows, I might be Hokage.

Kakashi: Hehe, I thought so as well with how you're progressing. Though I'll teach you the Chidori another time. We'll call it a day.

Y/N nodded in response. The two of them headed back as Kakashi went to the Hokage Mansion. After his training, Y/N decided to relax by wandering around the village while reading a book. Occasionally he would go out on missions after Shizune got back the other day. There have been a couple of days where he and Karin would train to see where she stands against him. He wasn't fond of fighting women but sparred with her to help her get stronger and help her with her Taijutsu. Sometimes, Tsunade would sent Tayuya with him out on missions so she can be an asset to the village. There have been times where he was teamed up with both Karin and Tayuya which proved to be a rather hassle for him to handle.
