hello, nini.
I miss you~

Jennie's head quickly perks up, eyes travel across the room when she heard her phone dinged. She carelessly stands up, knocking her chair down and hurriedly goes to reach her phone.

A happy smile swiftly appeared on her face when she saw her long time best friend messaged her. But her smile quickly turns into a pout when she read the message.

Hmm? How long has it been since they last saw each other? Jennie couldn't comprehend as one day not talking to her feels too long already.

Or maybe she's just exaggerating since she misses her a lot and the only time Lisa can visit her was during her vacation days.

r u busy?
can I call you?

Another message from Lisa pops and she bites her lips to suppress the smile creeping back on her lips as she glances at her notes laid on the table across where she'd been sitting and studying earlier.

Her finals are approaching so fast but if it means missing a call from her best friend...

Aish. Guess, skipping one study night won't hurt. She ponders and immediately calls her best friend's phone skipping to her bed.

Letting out a happy sigh, she beams when Lisa answered. "Lisa!" she exclaims and waves at the camera when the familiar eyes stare back at her.

Lisa let out a giggle and shakes her head. "Well, aren't you too eager to see me?" she mischievously states, smile growing wider when she saw Jennie playfully rolls her eyes at her as she sits up on her bed.

Lisa's eyes caught the sight of Jennie's books stack on her desk. "Are you studying?" she asks and frowns when she felt sudden guilt of disturbing her friend.

"Huh. Yeah. You know finals are coming, right?" Jennie sighs and displays a reassuring smile, immediately knowing the thoughts running on Lisa's mind. "Don't worry, you're not disturbing me."

"I guess I have to rely on my stock knowledge when that day comes." She mumbles and shrugs as she comfortably lies down on her bed, never tearing her eyes away from the younger.

A shy smile creeps on her when Lisa giggles, her eyes twinkling as she loves to watch her being so giggly and simply happy with her. "If there's any." Lisa teases and laughs louder when the latter pouts at her, having a look of disbelief. "I should warn Jisoo-unnie about it, knowing you." She added that made Jennie let out a small whine.

"But I'm serious, Nini. If you need to study right now, I can call you some other time." Lisa suggests and her smile quickly dropped when she notices how the cat eyed girl slumps her shoulder and the glint in her eyes was replaced by sadness.

"But I miss you." Jennie breathes out and Lisa can't help but sadly sighs and nods her head, knowing she also feels the same. "And I miss spending time with you." After hearing herself say those words, Jennie felt her face flushes up and ears turning red. She, too felt herself being surprised with her words. And when she heard laughs on the other line, she quickly turns to her pillow, burying her face as Lisa starts to shower her with her teasing.

Finally, the day Jennie has been waiting finally arrived. After months of waiting, enduring those times where she wished Lisa was just by her side, the long night calls with her finally paid off since it's finally spring season.

And as what Lisa promised her, they spend all those days together. Catching up on everything that happened to them while being apart.

Jennie felt herself in the cloud nine, being able to hold her friend's hand and cling with her like she used to. Lisa even teased her about it and as usual it ended again with them bickering at each other. She didn't even notice that it's the end of month again and they were going back to being apart again.
