Four Fears

Even on an Earth as scary as our's
I'm proud to declare I only have
Four fears.

Losing the ones I love.
No matter how hard I hold on,
The world can always break my grip.

Not being enough.
In this seemingly perfect world with perfect people
Is it possible to ever be enough?

Losing my touch with reality.
Grounding techniques don't work
When I forget I'm even standing on the ground.

But my biggest fear is closing my eyes at night,
Because my fears rush into my head, all at once
And they invade my dreams.
