Kunimi Akira considers himself to be a laid back person. He doesn't get into fights, and he definitely doesn't have anyone to get into fights with. In all honesty, his borderline laziness keeps him from acting upon anything that may anger him. So you can assume that Kunimi doesn't really lash out or yell in general. That's what Kunimi thought too.

Until Yūtarō Kindaichi and Iwaizumi Hajime happened.

Here's three times Kunimi lost his cool, and it's all because of a certain onion-head.

Now if you probably haven't already guessed, Kunimi is lazy. He won't go all out or put in his 110% at a practice game or a camp. He doesn't want to exert energy nor does he think he ever will. Another thing to keep in mind, however, is Kunimi doesn't have a lot of things he likes. Kunimi doesn't go out of his way to do many things, so his talents and extracurricular activities are limited to volleyball and Yūtarō Kindaichi. 

Kindaichi and Kunimi have known each other forever. They went to the same middle school, Kitagawa First and are now going to the same highschool, Aoba Johsai. Kunimi often told Kindaichi that he only goes to Aoba Johsai because it was the only school he remembered to apply for, but everyone knew it was a lie. He applied for Kindaichi.

Now, you can expect Kunimi to love every second of hanging out with Kindaichi, because they're best friends and all. But he doesn't. Because all of their current conversations are about a certain wing spiker.

Iwaizumi Hajime. If Kunimi didn't know any better, this man was chiseled out of stone. Literal physical perfection. He gets why Matsukawa and Hanamaki call him "bara-chan" when he's in a good mood. Everyone on the team was just a little bit in love with him. Minus Oikawa. Oikawa was a lot in love with him. Also Kindaichi. Kindaichi was mega in love with Iwaizumi. How does Kunimi know this? Because every. single. conversation. with. Kindaichi. is. about. him.

Like one time, walking home from school, a conversation went like this:

"Hey, Kunimi, did you see that?"

"I don't know, I don't pay attention to inferior things,"

"Shut up. I'm not joking,"

"Well tell me what you saw and I'll say whether or not I've seen it,"

"Iwaizumi gave me my water bottle after I forgot it at the gym, wow I-"

"-dude what?"

"Don't 'dude' me. And he did, which means he cares,"

"It's a water bottle. There's not much to care about,"

"He's so amazing, like have you seen his arms? They ju-"

Kunimi plugged in his headphones after that.

And it's very sudden to say this so close into the story, but Kunimi has a major crush on Kindaichi. This statement kind of flooded in unexpectedly, kind of like Kunimi's feelings towards Kindaichi. You know, now that he thinks back, Kunimi thinks he always had a crush on Kindaichi. Back when Kindaichi made him a Spotify playlist about hopelessly pining. Granted it was about Iwaizumi but he didn't care. The time Kindaichi was the only one to notice Kunimi had cut his hair, and complimented him so much about it Kunimi was red throughout the day.

So you can imagine how he feels when Kindaichi rambles on about someone that isn't him all day.

So it was announced in his head at 3:47 am on September 4, 2012 that Kunimi disliked Iwaizumi.
