She was running! My God was she running! Why of all days did it have to be today? The one day she had decided to not wear her Miraculous. It was her own stupid fault!
Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!
The twists and turns of the different cubicles were making the get away increasingly difficult. Why didn't she just put her earrings in her bag? Oh yeah, because her little good luck charm promised it would be fine.
"Hawk Moths been stopped" she said, "have a break" she said! She was seriously have words with Tikki when this was over.
Though Hawk Moth and Myuara had handed over their Miraculous a year ago, the butterfly Miraculous had found its way into someone else's hands. Really, why couldn't they just leave it be! No one could beat her and her partner, especially as they were nearing eighteen years old. They had strength, speed and tremendous team work. Except when she's an idiot and takes off her damn earrings.
"There's got to be a way out!"
Marinette continued to run and dodge the incoming streams of the akuma attack. The desks were a mess; chairs everywhere, paper thrown, material stranded in mid design. What a day! It was meant to be her interview for an intern position at 'Gabriel'. This meant everything! She was going to begin her dream without years of trudging away at university, and, of course, she had Adrien to thank. Not that she hadn't worked hard on her own accord, it just really helped having a good friend also happened to be the son of the owner.
Adrien was now also working full time learning the trade under his fathers watchful eye. She couldn't help the flutter in her heart when she thought of the two of them working together. She was nearing adulthood but the love for Adrien Agreste was still camped out in her heart. Marinette didn't think it would ever leave her, not completely anyway.
Head in the game, Marinette!
Suddenly, a hand grasped around Marinette's upper arm and pulled her with a tremendous force. A high pitched squeak left her lips as she felt herself being tugged behind one of the abandoned office cubicles. Unfortunately for Marinette though, a beam of light hit her just as she found the familiar green eyes of her saviour.

She had a headache. A booming, need a ton of aspirin headache. As her hand cupped her throbbing head she was ambushed into a ... telephone booth? She turned quickly to find her assailant ranting on about something she didn't understand. Worst of it was the assailant was incredibly handsome, tall, blonde and -
Her heart stuttered it was Adrien. But not her Adrien. What was going on?
"I don't understand why you're wearing that but at the moment that's the least of our worries."
Adrien was continuing to talk whilst messing in the pockets of his suit jacket. His very expensive, amazingly fitted suit jacket. His eyes were trailed to his exploration without looking up at her.
"You know, if you keep losing your glasses we're going to end up in some big trouble."
"G-g-glasses?"
"Luckily, I have a spare." Adrien handed over the glasses to a shell shocked Marinette and dragged her out the cubicle. "Now put them on, my father wants to meet with us is ten minutes."
Marinette placed the glasses on the bridge of her nose and stalked after her friend. What the hell was going on? As if reading her mind, he turned back to face her before checking the area. It was silent, no one else was around. He threaded one arm around her waist before pulling her close and firmly latching their lips.
