Matt's POV: When Gabby told me that having a baby through a surrogate can cost between $100,000 and $125,000 gave me a bit of a heart attack. However, I also knew what the cost of having a baby through her being pregnant. Her life was at risk again, and possibly our marriage. We should've explored this option the last time we were married after we learned that Gabby couldn't have children because it probably would've saved our marriage. And honestly, I probably would love to have a daughter something. So, yes...the cost would be worth it because it would make our family even more complete. Yes, it is already complete with us having Matteo but...us having a second child with a surrogate would just make our baby even more complete.
"Gabby, if I had to choose between risking your life again to have a second child...and having to pay over $100,000 to have a baby, then I choose to pay all that money everyday. It's the only way we can guarantee that you are here to raise our family with me. And if you aren't here to raise the new baby, then what's the point?" Gabby smiled when I said. I then rolled over onto my side and held her close to me. Staring into her eyes, I smiled as I felt Gabby's legs in between mine.
Grabbing her hand as we laid down close to one another, I moved to intertwine our fingers and kiss it while stroking it with my thumb. Gabby then moved to put her other hand on my cheek before kissing my softly. "I love you, you know that right?" I smiled and nodded. "Of course I do." Gabby blushed and smiled. Letting her hand go, I decided to wrap my arm around her waist and just bring her close to my chest. I felt her head nuzzle into my neck and just looked at her.
Gabby then moved her finger to my cheek and then traced it when my phone went off. I groaned as I looked at her. "So much for this amazing moment we were having. Unless of course you want me to ignore it?" That's when Gabby realized it was actually her phone. "Wait, that's not your phone. It's actually my phone." Rolling over to grab it, Gabby looked at it to see it was Antonio. "Antonio, what's up?"
She then put it on speaker, concerned a bit. "Me and Sylvie just had a fight. I don't know where she's going but she left the house. Can you let me know if she goes there?" Gabby agreed. "Of course. Call the firehouse though. Ask them to look too." Antonio agreed. "Sure thing, I will let you know when we find her." Gabby then hung up and sighed as she went and looked at me. "I'm just going to keep it on just in case."
I agreed and nodded before moving close to her. Putting my hand on her waist, I moved to kiss her softly before whispering to her. "Let's just hope that she make sit home safe." Gabby agreed and nodded, scared of the alternative.
