"Seriously Diamond, why don't you just tell him that you like him already?" Brittany complained to her friend.
"Can you leave me alone? You hovering over me about it is not helping my stress about this," Diamond said.
"Sorry, sorry. It's just that you've been planning to tell him for months so I'm just wondering why you haven't told him already."
"Because it's never the right time," Diamond groaned while banging her head against her locker.
"I don't think there's ever a "right time" to tell someone that you like them. You kinda just do it," Brittany explained.
"Yes but I'm not you, Brit. I can't just go around telling everyone what I think of them. I'm awkward and weird and it would just end up in me being a stuttering mess."
"Well I don't know what to tell you besides just do it-" Brittany started.
"What?" Diamond asked.
"I think right now is the perfect time to tell him," Brittany smirked.
"Wait wait what do you mean?" Diamond asks while looking around.
"I mean that he's coming up behind you right now, and he's not with any of his friends. Now is the time to do it," Brittany says with a smile on her face.
"What? No no no, I'm not telling him out of the blue like this! My hair is a frizzy mess, my outfit is dumb, my makeup is all messed up-"
"You look fine! Now go," Brittany says while pushing her best friend back a little.
"No! I can't tell him today anyway I really can't," Diamond tries to explain while starting to panic.
"And why is that?" Brittany asks, wondering what excuse she'll get this time.
"It's April first."
"Perfect! If he rejects you then you can just tell him that it was a prank that I made you do on him," Brittany says dismissively.
"Now go and tell that boy that you like him or else I swear I will beat you," Brittany threatens with a glare.
Just as Brittany pushes Diamond, she ends up bumping into someone.
"I'm so sorry-" Diamond starts as she turns around to make sure she didn't hurt the person she bumped into.
"Damien! A-are you okay? I swear I didn't mean to bump into you-"
"Diamond it's okay, it was an accident," Damien lightly chuckles. "Are you okay though?"
"Yes, I-I'm fine thank you," Diamond says while quietly looking down.
"Are you sure? You seem a little off," Damien observes.
"No no I'm fine! I just-" Diamond starts, taking a deep breath to control her nervous stuttering. "I just need to tell you something," Diamond says slowly while look towards Brit.
Brittany gives her a thumbs up and reassuring smile.
"Oh? What's up? Everything okay?" Damien says with a slight panic.
"No I'm seriously okay. I-I just wanted to tell you that I-I like you," Diamond says, her voice getting softer as she admits her feelings to Damien as she looks down.
