you and armin nestled closer to each other, soaking in the warmth of the fireplace. you had one arm around his shoulder, slowly stroking his soft hair, while he cuddled into the crook of your neck.
"you smell so sweet," you whispered into his ear. he mumbled something you couldnt make out, since he was already getting drowsy. you gently grabbed his face with both your hands, and placed small kisses on both sides of his cheeks.
"i love you so much," you murmur, stroking his chin. he opens his tired eyes and kisses you sloppily on the lips. you kiss back, tangling your fingers in his hair. he lets out a soft whine into the kiss. you both part, gasping for air. after some silence, he speaks up.
"im so tired. i miss when things were easy." he sighs and drops his head onto your chest. you frown and continue stroking his hair, tears forming in the corner of your eyes. who knows what eren is planning? what if i never see armin again? bad thoughts continue to fill your brain, spreading like a contagious disease.
"i know armin, i do too."
