"AVALON! GIVE ME BACK MY VIOLIN!" Athena shouts. This happened on almost a daily basis. Avalon takes something from Athena. Athena looks for it and knows Avalon took it. Then Athena goes to yell at Avalon.
"Oh don't get your curls in a twist Athena. I just wanted to try it." Avalon snickers. Athena just rolls her eyes and grabs her instrument from Avalon.
"Yeah. Like that time you borrowed my curling iron and almost caused a fire in the castle. You use a straightener anyway. You don't need my curling iron." Athena sarcastically retorted.
"Now that was a fun day." Avalon laughed. Athena gave a huff of frustration at her twin sister's orneriness.
"Seriously. We need to get ready. Mom said that we have etiquette lessons today before our birthday ball. That's where we might meet our future husband just like mom! I'm so excited! Especially for the cake." Athena giggled forgetting that she was angry at Avalon. The thing about Athena was that she was a little naive but she had a good dose of skepticism to know what was going on. She wasn't an airhead. In fact she was quite the intelligent girl. She spent a lot of time in the castle library and the huge wall of books in her room. That's what her and her sister had in common. They loved books. They have the castle library and their own personal library.
"Yeah well that ball is no big deal. It's so stupid. Our parents expect us to marry someone that we just meet. That's a little creepy and you know it." Avalon shuddered. Avalon was the younger one of the two by just a few minutes. She didn't understand why Athena was so giddy over the situation. Earlier in the month her sister was complaining to her how creepy and weird this was and that she wanted to find her true love. She wasn't understanding it. Yeah, she was mischievous and ornery but that didn't mean she could be just as serious as Athena. Athena was a bubbly personality but she was also very serious when need be. She knew a time and place for everything so she was very prepared. Avalon just didn't understand what happened in that time span.
"Avalon, you know that I'm the oldest. Therefore, I am responsible to unite our Province with another Province." Athena sighed. Avalon gave Athena a sympathetic look.
"Shouldn't we be getting ready for etiquette?" Avalon reminded. Athena's eyes widen and she gives a great gasp.
"I can't believe I almost forgot! I'll see you there Avalon!" Athena shouts over her shoulder as she rushes to get into her day clothes. Avalon just smirks and shakes her head. Sometimes her sister can get so sidetracked. Avalon retreated to her room too to get ready for the day.

Meanwhile in another Province, Charles and Nolan, otherwise known as Newt, were in the stables preparing their horses for their daily ride. Charles was a very outgoing and confident young man. He was also the oldest out of the twin brothers. On the other hand, there was shy and cold Newt. He didn't really like being around big crowds and preferred to be in a library. In contrast to that, Charles liked balls and parties. He wasn't a big fan of books but he was still smart. Both of them were already growing into young men so their parents decided to give them each a 'castle' of sorts. It wasn't as big as a castle but it was was bigger than your average mansion. People think that's a big responsibility for the two princes but they would have the possibility to be betrothed in a few short hours.
"Hey Newt. Do you know what we're doing today?" Charles asked as he was riding his horse. Newt looked up at his brother and gave a kind of shrug.
"Well, I know. We are going to a birthday ball. Mum and Dad say that we are two of the many suitors that will be at the ball." Charles informed.
