The lunch bell rang and I raced down the halls when I saw him leaning against the lockers.

"Scott, Scott!" I yelled trying to get his attention.

"Yeah babe" he smirked, looking me up and down head to toe.

"Why haven't you been answering my texts?!" I exclaimed, waiting for a good explanation. Which is not what I got.

"Oh yeah, I've been busy. I'll make it up to you on Saturday, you're coming to Cal's party right?" Scott assumed.

"Umm, I'm not sure" I stuttered, playing with the bracelets on my wrist.

Scott started to walk away in those baggy blue jeans he thinks makes him cool "see you then".

I really like Scott and I've never really thought about why I do, but he can be so annoying. He knows I hate parties and that I think it's just an excuse for guys to get wasted, hit on girls and treat them ways they shouldn't be treated. When Scott said he'd 'see me then' did he mean he's not going to speak to me until Saturday? That's two days! After all he is my boyfriend, he's supposed to speak to me everyday, isn't he?

My thoughts were interrupted by someone calling my name.

"Hey Nicole" Luke said walking over to me in his skinny black jeans and white shirt. I've always admired Lukes fashion sense.

"Hiya Lukey" I chuckled from the nick name I give him.

Luke smiled and pulled me in for a hug. I've always loved the height difference between Luke and I, it made our hugs perfect! My head fits comfortably in his chest while his arms wrap around my back pulling me in tightly. His hugs are the best! Luke is a great friend!

"What's up" he asked while releasing me.

"Nothing much, I spoke to Scott" I sighed.

"What did he say?" It really seemed like he cared.

"He told me the reason he didn't speak to me was because he was too busy and he invited me to Calum's party this weekend" I huffed.

"Ahh that must suck" Luke's eyes dropped to the floor. "I know you don't like parties, don't go if you don't want to and how many times do I have to tell you, if he doesn't have time for you, he doesn't deserve you!" He said, placing his hand on my shoulder.

"I know but I think we'll talk through things at the party, it'll be fine" I said putting on a smile.

Luke took his hand off my shoulder slowly and it looked like he put on a smile too.
