Chapter 29 - Catching Feelings

Gemma's POV*

Kyle and I had been on a few dates in the past couple weeks, they were fun and we were starting to get a lot more comfortable with each other. I had been planning out Jack and Luke's visit for weeks without Louise knowing. She hadn't even got the slightest hint that she would be reunited with Jack in a week and I would get to see Luke.

Thinking of them being in Scotland made my heart flutter because I missed them so much. I couldn't wait!

But for now I was just enjoying being with Kyle since when Jack and Luke came I would have to neglect him for a bit.
Kyle was coming over to mine just to chill for a bit as we didn't want to make a fuss every time we went out. Plus, I liked it when people just came over to mine for a while because I hate making effort most of the time.

I had been skyping Luke for most of the night about video ideas for when he was coming and we had came up with a few good ideas so I was even more excited for that. But we were awake for a while talking so I was really tired. I still made effort to look nice for Kyle when he was coming over so I put a houndstooth printed skort on and a black crop top and did my usual cat eye make up. I didn't do much to my hair except put it up in a messy ponytail.

I had tidied my room for him coming over because I didn't want to see how messy it really was.

"Just leaving babe😏" he texted me as I was making my bed.

I sprayed a nice air freshener to make it smell nice and then put my fairy lights on. My room looked cute when I tidied it but that still didn't change how messy I would make it.

I heard the doorbell go off and my mum open the door and greeted Kyle in her chirpy voice. She had really softened to the idea of me and Kyle.

I heard footsteps coming up the stairs and a knock at my door.

"Come in!" I called sitting down at my desk to shut my laptop down.

"Heyyy!" He said hugging me from behind.
"Hey.." I laughed surprised at his embrace.

He kissed my cheek and then stood back to let me stand up.

"You're happy today.." I said giggling.
"Could say that.. Just happy to be with my girl." He smirked.

I hated the expression "my girl" but I couldn't help but smile at his dreamy eyes.

Kyle looked around my room since he hadn't been here for a while.

"It looks different, all of your Justin Bieber and Janoskians posters are down." He smirked.
"Yep, still love them but I re-decorated my room so... they're in that box over there." I laughed pointing at my dresser.
"You were obsessed." He said laughing.
"I liked Justin's music and the Janoskians made me laugh, there's nothing wrong with that." I said playfully hitting him.
"Or maybe it's because you don't have to fantasise about celebrities anymore, because real boys came into your life." He smirked sitting down on my well made bed.

Wow. That was a kinda jerkish thing to say..

"I suppose.." I responded carefully sitting down.

"Maybe we could mess this bed up." He smirked.
"Ugh, I don't think so.." I laughed shocked.
"We're only at the start of our relationship, I'm not jumping into any beds with you like that." I added.
"Alright, calm down.. I was joking, I don't need anything like that from you. I'm just happy you took me back." He said sitting up properly.
"Better be." I laughed.
"Apparently we're the talk of the school." He said laughing.
"What do you mean?!" I said seriously.
"Wellll... Someone found out and you know how fast gossip spreads at that place, like fire." He said.
"What are they saying?" I said sighing.
"Nothing much, I heard a few people say that they didn't get it after.. what.. happened.." He said slowly.
"Okay... I don't care anyway... They're just gossiping because they have nothing else to do." I said sighing again.
"I know babe, don't worry about it. Come here." He said opening his arms.

I laid my head on his shoulder and he put his arm around me.

"We're safe from all that gossip stuff, it doesn't matter what they say. We're still together." He said hugging me tight.
"Yeah.." I said under my breath.
"Okay, what movie do you want to watch?" I asked.
"Could we watch a few episodes of The Office?" He asked smiling.
"Yeah, sure." I said smiling and turning my tv on and putting on Netflix.

I put an episode on and cuddled into Kyle. I could smell his strong aftershave off his neck. The smell was alright, a bit over powering though.

I wasn't paying much attention to the TV and I slowly found myself falling asleep in Kyle's arms.

I woke up in the same spot but it felt like I had been asleep for ages. Kyle's arms were still around me, he was asleep too. It was dark outside.

I slowly slipped out of Kyle's arms and stood up to stretch.

I looked at my clock : 8:06pm

I had been asleep for 5 hours, oops. My TV was still on so I turned it off as it had went through a lot of episodes of the office. Kyle looked peaceful sleeping. I liked him a lot I don't know what was wrong with me earlier. I was probably just tired and took it out on him. But honestly, I was feeling something strong for him. Hopefully he felt the same way.

I brushed my hair out with my fingers and took a sip from my water bottle. I heard Kyle moving around so I turned around to find him sitting up awake.

"Hello." I said laughing.
"I didn't even know I was asleep, how long was I asleep for?" He asked confused.
"Well I'm not sure because I fell asleep too." I said laughing.
"Aww..I should probably leave now." He said rubbing his eyes.
"Yeah.." I said.

He stood up to stretch and a slit of his toned stomach showed.
I smiled when I saw this because he had obviously been working out.

"What?" Kyle asked catching me staring at him.
"Oh, nothing.." I said laughing to myself.

He shrugged his shoulders and then hugged me tight before walking out of my door. I followed him downstairs to the door.

"Goodnight." I smiled looking up to him.
"Night Gemma." He said smiling back.

He quickly pressed his lips on mine then hurried out of the door.

I waited as he drove away smiling to myself, then went and got some juice.
