I excused myself from the crowd as i made my way over to my cabin taking the wireless from my PA's hand, ready to grace me with her lovely voice but as soon as i heard the other side, i felt my sould leave my body as my lips quivered to even say the way.

"MOM" and the world felt silent.

Manik's POV continues

It felt like the world stopped around me as i heard her voice after years and the day that she left me for good flashed infront of my eyes as i remembered my pleads for her to stay. She was alive and breathing but still away from me. My mother. A mother who never met me for a moment in the past years, so why was she back now? For money again?

"Hello Manik? Are you there?" she called out for me after a long pause of silence.

I wanted to speak. In hell i wanted to cry and tell her that i had missed her at every step of my life. But i dare not cause she doesn't even matter in my life anymore. She was the same women who left a kid crying for love.

"Manik my son? I just want-" she called out for me again.

"Don't you dare call me not. I am not your SON." I shouted back and cancelled the call throwing it accross the room.

Cabir came panicking towards me as he heard my roar. I wasn't ready to answer anyone cause i had no answer to it myself. She was back and reaching out to me. But why?

"Is everything alright bro? Look if it's about the meeting don't bother i'll take care of it." He tried calming my mind down unaware of the cause of storm but i could only voice out one short sentence.

"She's back."

"Who's back?" he asked me utterly confused but even before i could answer my PA interrupted us.

"Sir there's a call for you on this office phone." she informed me.

"Who is it?" Cabir asked.

"She says she's Manik Sir's mom." she spoke and i snatched the device out of her hand in a reflex.

"I told you that i am not your son anymore. Stop this, all of this." I roared.

"But you're my son and i want to meet you. I'm so sorry for everything, please talk to me once." she pleaded but my ears were shut for her, for forever.

"Listen you women. My mom died the day that she left me and my dad pleading to her to stay. So no you're not my mother anymore." I cancelled the call yet again and barged inside my cabin with a tensed Cabir strolling behind me.

"Manik! Manik listen. You can finally talk to her now. Look it in a positive way." he spoke.

"Talk to her! Cabir i don't even want her presence near me." I snapped back.

"But Manik she is your mother for heaven's sake." he tried making me understand a point which was true but useless in my life.

"My mother! You freakin kidding me. You and me , we both know the kind of women she is, a women who left her entire family for some money guy just because my dad couldn't afford her lifestyle." i shouted remembering the dark times of my life.

"Look manik i understand but-" he started his good for nothing explanation but got interrupted when i smashed a vase right behind him on the white wall.

"Cabir leave." i didn't want to hurt him afterall he was my best friend but i could feel it kicking in, the emotions i has always buried deep inside me and i couldn't afford to do anything to him that i will regret for my entire life.
