Addison closed the drawer of the guest bedroom dresser as she finished unpacking the last of the very few items she brought with her to Noah's house.

She had intentionally taken over a week to finish packing, waiting for Noah to change his mind and ask her to leave. But he didn't.

Addison feared one day he'd wake up and not want to see her everyday, that the sight of her would remind him of what he lost. She supposed she should've felt that way too about Noah, but as she sat on the bed she realized she didn't.

Perhaps it was that she and Noah had their own kind of friendship outside of Megan and James, or maybe it was because when she had first met Noah she had been interested in him and James.

Addison blushed at the thought. That seemed like a lifetime ago. She laid back on the bed, lost in thought even though it was almost one o'clock in the morning.

Addison had met Noah first, before she met James and before Megan met Noah. They immediately had a connection, but as they both settled into their relationships with James and Megan their connection transitioned into a friendship.

They didn't spend much one on one time together, because what man and woman in relationships do?

Addison almost let out a dry chuckle. James and Megan, apparently.

It had been almost two weeks since Addison had found them together. The hurt was still there, she didn't know how long it would take for her to heal.

Being around Noah helped, because he was going through the same thing.

Was it weird that they lived together? Addison didn't think so, but maybe that's just because she couldn't afford to be anywhere else right now.

Her mother lived in Ohio, and Addison really didn't want to leave New York.

Addison sighed.

She thought back to her encounter with James. How we tried to manipulate her. Had he done that before? Had he manipulated her throughout their relationship, and she was too blind to see it?

Addison put a hand to her head, the thought started to give her a migraine.

The warmth of her hand on her head reminded her of when Noah did the same thing just a few days before.

The feel of his skin on hers surprised her, it was warm but also jolting. Like static electricity ignited between them, just from that simple graze of his hand.

Her cheeks warmed again from her blush.

She told herself to stop, to push those thoughts away. She was hurt by James, he made her vulnerable. She wasn't actually interested in Noah, she tried to convince herself.

She face palmed and sighed, she just needed some sleep.

Noah laid in bed, unable to fall asleep. The house felt different with Addison in it. It felt charged, the air thicker.

It was odd to him. He had never experienced that with Megan. Was that chemistry or simply their heightened feelings from being hurt so badly?

Noah wasn't sure, but he knew that he was acutely aware of Addison's presence in the room across the hall far more than he'd ever been aware of Megan's body sleeping next to him at night.

And as if she could hear his thoughts, Noah heard a noise coming from Addison's room.

He sat up in his bed, trying to listen closely, afraid that something was wrong.

There it was again. It was definitely coming from Addison's room. He swung the blanket off of his legs and stood up, about to approach the door, when he realized what the sound was.

Addison's moan.

His entire body began to tingle. It was late, nearly 3 AM, he wasn't sure what she was doing but he knew he shouldn't be hearing it.

It felt like an invasion of her privacy, but what was he supposed to do? If she was masterbating and he left his room and went downstairs she would definitely know he heard her. But it felt wrong to stand there and listen.

A voice inside his head told him to follow suit.

Or knock on her door.

He pondered what to do for a moment as he stood there, his body vibrating with arousal.

He couldn't help it, he was newly single and even though Megan hurt him and he was grieving for that loss, Addison was beautiful.

The thought had crossed his mind, but he knew it would never happen.

Actually, the thought had crossed his mind more than once lately, and years ago when they first met. When James quickly took her attention before Noah could try.

"Fuck!" He heard her moan from the other room.

Noah rolled his eyes and nearly growled. His arousal was too much, he was already hard and couldn't keep listening.

Fuck it.

He opened his door.
