Not like before

I didn't notice that I've been staying at the balcony for a long time so I decided to go back at Jaycee's room.

As I opened the door and went in, she was sleeping soundly. I went closer to her and using my hand, checked her temperature. But because I just got back recently from the balcony my hand are still cold so I can't rely on it.

Looking at her, Im pretty sure she won't notice since she's sleeping soundly, I sat beside her and using my fingers, I moved those bangs that covers her forehead and I leaned my forehead on hers. I closed my eyes to accurately feel her temperature. Her temperature is almost normal which is a good things so I slowly opened my eyes, saw her staring at me and from that inch gap between us, our eyes locked.

Her cheeks turned red and I can feel how tense she is holding her breath. I stood up from there and cleared my throat.

" Your fever already went down. You still need some rest though,Ummm I should get going... "

I walked away and as I reach the door, I was about to open it when I heard Jaycee called for me. I looked at her and she was smiling at me.

" Thanks. "

She smiled and look so bright.. I swallowed a lump and I just face the door once again and went out.

It's not like I want to look for her ...

Sensei just asked me to, that's all.

I went straight home. As I arrive at our house my brother and mother were siting at the couch and when they saw me, they stood up and looked at me intently,  like they want me to say something but I just rolled my eyes and ignored them and went to my room.

They were still following me, they won't give it a rest wouldn't they..

" Her fever already went down.. Satisfied? Im tired so let me rest please. "

I rolled my eyes and went inside my room shutting the door from them.

I lay down and as I look at the ceiling, I can still hear it loudly. I rested my palm in my chest and felt that my heart still beats so fast that I've been hearing it thumps a while ago.

What is it??

Am I anxious? Nervous? or Happy? I don't know how to describe it since its my first time to feel this.

The nexy day, I woke up late and it seems that my heart just can't simply rest that made me anxious about this day. Why is it that I got this weird feeling? Just what the hell.

I went to school and barely made it on time.

As I enter on our classroom, Jett was looking at me shockingly. I went to my chair and when I was about to sit, she suddenly approached me.

" I thought you are going to skip school today... "

" I overslept... "

" That never happens to you, Is there something wrong?? "

Jett asked. I looked at her and as I open my mouth the teacher suddenly went it. I just gave her a quick smile then sat at my chair.

As I look at the teacher, my eyes got caught by jaycee's shadows. I looked at her and she looks alright but besides that, I noticed that she have this really calming and light aura that surrounds her. She was smiling during the lecture,like its something she also enjoys but thats very unexpected.

After a while, without noticing it, the bell rang for lunch break. I was organizing my things when suddenly I someone pushed me from behind.

" Goodness, you scared me!"

I exclaimed which really weirded me out. I don't really get scared or get startled with that but why did I? As I was about to look at  Jett, I noticed Jaycee looking at us.

What am I supposed to do? Should I smile or ignore her?

That would be rude so when I was about to smile she suddenly rushed outside catching with her frenemies. Well, they are bitches after all. I stood up and looked at Jett as she suddenly grabbed me out of the blue. The next thing I knew was we were standing at the rooftop.

So what's her deal anyway? I was panting and trying to catch my breath since I don't really have an athletic body and have a low stamina not like her. She was waiting for me and as I catched up,  I looked at her.

She was looking on the other way which means, something is up.

" What's the matter? "

I asked as I went and sit at the small cemented bench at the side.

" Well, You see.... Im not supposed to tell you this cause I know that this is off but upon seeing Jaycee and You... "

I was a bit alarmed when she suddenly brought our names up. I raised my eyebrow and looked at her.

She went beside me and then started her story. I haven't told you this but Jett's family owns a pet shop, one of the popular pet shop and at the same time biggest one here in this area then she suddenly brought up that Laurence became their customer.

Not just from a simple Laurence Family but It was Gertrude Laurence. One of the top bitch in our school and the hottest chick. She's from a wealthy family so no one can really go against her and shes in the same grade but luckily she's on a different section.

She unexpectedly own a pet and went to Jett's petshop to have her pet groomed But since their petshop was always packed up, Gertrude requested for a private session from them. That's why every saturday Jett went at their place since his father is really busy at their store.

But Jett has no idea that its Gertrude's place and her pet at first. 

Since both of them where shock they really never talk but as per session passes by, Gertrude become interested on how to take care of her dogs necessity so she started to watch and ask questions to Jett

Then there is this one time when Gertrude invite her to her room. And because of some things happen and because of their conversation,

she ended up getting kissed by Gertrude which really shocked her and now she don't really know what to do.

" That was my first kiss! and she stole it!!! "

She exclaimed with this panicking voice and teary eyes she have. No wonder she really treasure those things. I thought she don't mind kissing everyone. I looked at her trying to console her with my effortless look..

" Eh? Didn't you share one to those guys whom you met at the mixer? "

I asked, but of course its not like I think of her that way, I just want to make fun of her.. 

" Heyy, that hurts. Do you think Im that kind of girl? I don't give something that fast! "

" Then why did you gave it to her?

" I didn't!  She swiftly grabbed me and pressed her lips on mine! "

" Oh... "

" What am I supposed to do now?! "

Jett asked. I don't really know since I never get in such situations, but I do have an idea who to talk with.

It was almost time so we headed back and I didn't got to ask Jaycee since our teacher was early.

After how many hours, the bell for dismissal rang and when I was about to reach jaycee's chair, she suddenly stood up and went out.

Hey....

Wait.....

I didn't get to chase for her so maybe Ill just ask for her tomorrow..

The next day, I tried approaching her but everytime I approach her , she always manage to run away..

And as for the whole week,

It does sound like or feel like she's been avoiding me...
