Chapter 2: First Day in a New World

When I opened my eyes, I came to my senses and realized I was under a tree near a stone-paved street. I noticed houses with similarities to the middle ages along with people carrying swords and bows. Carts were carrying people's belongings and... Fish-looking plants?

While I was busy admiring the new world, I felt something hit me on the head and fall to my side.

Y/N: Who did that and what's this bag doing here?

I picked up the bag and looked inside to find coins piled up with a note on top.

"Sorry about that, I forgot to give you this on the way out but these coins are the currency of my world. Inside the bag is a total of 30,000 Eris which should be enough to register to be an adventurer and rent a room in the guild inn for a while. The back of this note has directions to the adventurer guild from your current location. By the way, you are currently in Axel, the town of novice adventurers. Good luck. - Eris"

Y/N: Eris-sama is too kind, I should find some way to pay her back for all of this someday.

I put the bag in my pocket and followed the directions on the back of the note to get to the guild.

I felt people's gazes on me the whole way there and it made me nervous. I'm assuming they're confused about my strange appearance from nowhere or something like that.

I managed to find the guild as described on the note and steeled myself to go in and try to avoid any problems. I also try to muster up some kind of courage as I haven't spoken to anyone in person for a while besides Eris and my parents.

Y/N: Here we go...

I opened the door and my nose was assaulted by the smell of alcohol and food and was greeted by a girl who looked like a waitress.

I also immediately felt people's gazes on me which made me feel even more nervous as some people looked tough.

Waitress: Your face looks new around here so welcome to the adventurer's guild! You can register to be an adventurer at the counters or if you're here to eat just sit at a table.

Y/N: T-Thanks for the help.

I went to the counters and found a line of what looked to be male adventurers in front of only one receptionist with big breasts and a shirt that could barely be called a shirt. The 3 other receptionist's counters were empty with the receptionists sharing equally empty expressions.

That girl's honkers are seriously just hanging out there, the temptation to stare...

I decided to just go to one of the other receptionists to get my registration over with quickly. The receptionist looked surprised that I walked up to her before putting on some kind of professional attitude and smile.

Receptionist: Good afternoon, how may I help you.

Y/N: Hello, I'd like to register as an adventurer, please.

Receptionist: Sure thing, you just need to pay the registration fee which is 1000 Eris.

I pulled out some coins from the bag Eris gave me and put them on the counter hoping it was enough.

Y/N: Will that do? I'm not familiar with this currency since I come from far away.

Receptionist: That will be enough, now just fill out this card with your weight, height, and other information. While you do that would you like me to give you an explanation of how being an adventurer for the guild works?
