"Thus far, I have found an abundance of secondary sources. The search for a reliable primary source is ongoing and will be brought to an end soon, or so I hope." The wind changed directions, blowing the man's soft dark brown curls onto his perfect face. His forest green eyes had a thirst for adventure in them. He looked out to the sea, the sunlight making his eyes look a neon yellow. He turned back to the child and held out a hand. "Well, have you got what it takes to be a hero?" He said softly. His voice was different from before, instead of loud and demanding it was soft and reassuring. His voice was a sound that rivalled the infamous voices of the siren. His features were angelic, and his determination burned fiercely inside of him, so much so that the child was almost scared. Almost.

"I-I d-don't know b-but if you'll have m-me, I feel as though I c-could become a hero, under your t-training of course." The little boy stammered out, as he spoke aloud his dream to the first person ever to save him. The man looked at the boy, expecting more from the child. "I will become a hero." The boy stated. With that a fire was ignited inside the boy, he felt no anxiety or sorrow, but only the burning ache to become a hero, to save people like him, and to fulfil his mother's final wish. The man looked at the boy with a grin, and a hand on the boy's shoulder.

"I knew I saw something in you kid," the man said a little loudly, "but with the way you are you're gonna hafta work a bazillion times harder than anyone else." The man warned the child, a laugh coating his voice.

"I don't care how hard I have to work. I don't have anything to lose anyway. This is the one thing that I am still alive, in hopes that one day I could become a hero." The boy looked out to the horizon; his face was looked determined as the sun lowered into the sea. He was finally taking his first step into becoming an actual hero. His violet eyes dampened as he came to this realisation. This wasn't a dream. This was real. For the first time in a while the boy smiled.
