I walked into my mom's room, this time having been told to come in. I opened the door wondering what would happen. As soon as I walked in I saw my mom, along with a man with a red moustache and cybernetics. They were similar to my dad's except for the face. One side of his face was metal, with a red eye. Next to him was a man with brown moustache and light brown hair.
Ellie: Hannah. Come in.
I did as I was told, wondering what was happening.
Ellie: Hannah. Meet Reginald....
She pointed at the brown moustache guy.
Ellie:...and Right Hand Man.
The other one gave a small grunt.
Ellie: Right. Reg. This Hannah.
Revinald: Well. Hello. Pleased to meet you miss Stickmin.
Hannah: Thanks Mr......
Reginald: Copperbottom.
Hannah: Thanks Mr Copperbottom.
Right: Uh hum. Can we get to the point?
Reginald: Okay. Well.. Hannah. You know how you're Dad was the leader of the clan?
Hannah: Yea.
Reginald: Well we've been speaking to your mother. And we've decided you're ready to join the Toppat clan. If you agree.
I couldn't believe it. I was going to be able to join the Toppat clan. The clan I had been raised in. Immediately a smile spread across my face.
Reginald: Hannah? Miss? Everything alright?
I looked at him, the grin never leaving my face.
Hannah: I'll join.
Ellie: You sure?
Hannah: Mom I'm sure. I wanna do it.
Ellie: Okay....But on one condition.
I braced myself for whatever mom would have in mind. My first thought was some kind of embarrising safety gear. Or maybe a set time of working with ridiculous curfew.
Ellie: Stay safe.
I couldn't believe my luck. I could do something on my own with no safety precautions? And with my mother's agreement? I stood there in shock at this new idea.
Reginald: Well, me and Right need to go. We'll see you tomorrow afternoon.
I left the room and walked into mine, still keeping silent. I let out noises of joy as I reflected on what had just happened. I went over everything I knew about recruit training and becoming part of he clan. You would be faced with a series of trials including memory work, code cracking, figuring a way out of dangerous situations and so much more. I got out a sheet of paper and began writing.
The next day....
I walked into the large, black testing room. Inside there was a table with a peice of paper with some questions. Next to this was a computer. Over on my left was a glock and a hand grenade. And right over on the opposite side of the room there was a large metal door.
My task was simple. I had to get to an emerald by completeting tasks. There were plenty of obstacles including sensors, robot guards with clever algorithms, lasers, and plenty of doors that required a code input or some kind of I.D. scan like biometric or face. I breathed in, then out as I went to the computer.
............
I walked into the makeshift vault, having snuk past some cameras and 2 guards, and analysed the room in front of me. At the other side I could see a camera pointing to the centre of the room where the emerald was.
The emerald was inside a glass casing with lasers going through it. The room was circular with cameras everywhere. And there were bits of floor that had old boards in them with sensory lasers and detectors nearby.
However I noticed a key flaw. That being that the cameras and lasers were powered by something. And over by a nearby wall was a control panel with no protection. I went over and pried it open and saw a multitude of wires and switches. I fiddled with them for a bit before the lasers turned off.
I went over to the emrald and was wondering how to get it when something weird happened. Time seemed to slow down. Then I found the scene painted in a blue hue. In front of me were 3 items: a hammer, a top hat and a file.
Hannah: What the-?
I had no idea what was going on.
