CH 19

Hyejin POV

By twilight I finally reached Cleivos. Two days passed by switching modes of transport to reach as fast as possible.

As I walk into the town, all the people were walking towards the direction of the castle, huddled up in groups.

"Excuse me. What goingon?" I ask a passing by person.

"You don't know? Apparently our king in back." The man said continuing to walk.

Without wasting any time, I ran and ran, bumping into people on the way.
Finally making it to the gates.

Following the people, I take a seat in the ring of the castle arena.

Soon, the trumpets blew and the king walked up to his spot in the balcony and spoke up, "good people of Cleivos, I Hwang Hyunjin have returned to you, and I will guide you to ensure a safe nation."

As soon as he finished, all the people started howling and praising him.

I just looked at him with a bitter look on my face.

Dragging myself out of the arena, I walk to awhile aimlessly and then looked for a hotel to stay the night.

After two more days of travelling, I had returned back to Reigan. It was nightfall.

I still couldn't recover from my instability and felt wierd inside.

Sungchan.

This thought made me break into the palace and into the prince's room.

Stepping in, I saw Sungchan rummaging through his cupboard.

Walking up to him, I pull his arm towards me, then grab his face and kiss him, at first he didn't respond, but then he returned the action.

After a few moments, tears started spilling continuously, breaking apart, he wipes off my tears as they spill, and then pull me into a hug, caressing my back.

After crying my soul out, I lay still listening to the rhythm of his beating heart.

"Are you going to tell me what happened?" He finally speaks.

"I'm not ready."

"Hmm. Where did you go?" He asks.

"I-i can't tell, just yet." I reply.

Leaning away from his chest, I sit down in front of him.

"I like you, Sungchan." I tell him.

" I-i" he stutters.

"Its ok, I just wanted to tell you, you don't have to answer me now."
With a small smile, I stand up and turn to his window to leave, but, he pulls me back and grips both my arms.

"You didn't listen to what I have to say."

I just blink profusely.

*sigh* "I wanted to confess to you first, but since you already did it, I like you too, Hyejin. I liked you a lot since the first day we met." He confesses.

My mind was completely blank, I didn't know what to say or do, neither could I look right at his face.

He grabs my face, his eyes staring right back at me.

He then slowly places a peck on my forehead, then my left eye, then my right, my nose, each of my cheeks, whispering mine after every peck.
Lastly, he stares at my lips for a while, then leans down to kiss me, our lips moving in sync.
