It has been about a month since that first day of school. Things are going fine, just more school, I'm trying not to dwell on that to much though.

I had gotten closer with Michael and Calum since them, we all had. We've learned quite a few things about them. Apperetly they had to leave a really good friend of theirs, Ashton, back in Sydney before they moved here to Perth. They are actually really funny so they keep us entertained.

We were sitting at out lunch table on a long Monday that seemed to go on forever.

"Hey Vanessa,  what's up with you and your boyfriend you haven't talked about him for a while?" I say curiously before taking a bite out of my sandwich.

"Oh, didn't I tell you guys, I broke up with him.'' Vanessa shrugs casually.

"what happened?" Jess asks.

"Nothing really, he was just a dick," she replies matter of factly.

We continue out conversation for a few minutes before May  looks over my shoulder and her eyes look like they might bulge out if her skull.

"what are you looking at?" Jess asks, also noticing May's lack of attention towards us.

We all follow May's gaze and understandment  washes over us almost immediately.

"Oh, nevermind," Jess mumbles.

What we see is Michael and Calum sitting and laughing, pretty loudly might I add, with Luke. We are all flabbergasted, how could two really cool guys like them get along so well with a dickwad like Luke?

What, but how? Vanessa says bewilderedly.

"I have no idea." I respond once we had all stopped gawking at them, they somehow managed not to notice us staring.

" Ana, text Michael and fins out what's up." May commands me.

"Wait, why me?" I question.

"Because you're the closest to him, duh," Vanessa says as if it should be obvious.

"Ugh fine," I say as I pull out my phone.

Me:????

He actually responds really quickly.

Michael: what??

Me: why are u sitting with Luke

We lock eyes from across the room and I shoot him a questioning look while he send me a confused one.

Michael: am I not supposed too

Me: Idk he just doesn't seem like someone you would hang out with

Michael: he's a pretty cool guy

Me: I've never got that impression from him

"Ana!" Jess graps me attention and I look up from my phone, "care to explain?"

"There's not really anything to explain he just said that Luke's a pretty cool guy."

"Huh that weird," May says.

"Yea a little bit," I say as the bell rings and we all scatter and make our may to our respective classes. The rest if the day passes with out incident. After school as I'm walking to my car, I notice that Michael is leaning against it.

"Hey, what was up with you freaking out out at lunch," Michael asks once I approach him.

"I was not freaking out!" I stat defensively. "Luke has always just been a dick to everyone, so it was weird to see you hitting it off so well with him."

"Oh...hey umm do you want to do something this weekend, I mean all of you uh... you know the girls, with Calum and I to go see a movie or something, or maybe just hang out" Michael shudders kind of nervously, but looking at me, hopeful.

"Uhh yea maybe, I'll check with them and see what they think about it," I say.

We stand there awkwardly for a few moments before Michael realizes he is standing in front of my door, "cool, so I'll see you tomorrow then," he says before walking away.

I smile at out awkward little encounter before unlocking my car and driving home.

I do all of my homework, then decide to listen to some Panic! At The Disco while texting the girls to see if they can come with Michaels thing.

Me: hey, Michael wants to know if we're all free to do something w/ them this weekend.

They all reply fairly quickly.

Jess: sorry I can't I have to spend time with the  fam this weekend

May: yea same here I already have plans

Me: aww how bout you Nessa?

Vanessa: sorry I'm not free either

Me: oh well, maybe we can try and reschedule some other time

I decide to call Michael instead of texting him

"Hello,"   Michael says after he picks up the phone.

"Hey, I just wanted to let you know that none of the girl are free this weekend," I explain.

"Hmm well it turn out Calum has plans already as well," he says.

"We should probably just reschedule then," I suggest.

The line goes silent for a few moments before Michaels speaks again "unless maybe you want to do something, just the two of us?" His voice is considerably quieter when he asks this.

"You know what? Sure why not?" I say with a little grin playing on my lips.

"Awesome! I'll text you the info." He says happily.

"Cool, bye!" I say before hanging up.

Wait, did I just agree to go on a date with Michael?
