Nuke Town 2025

    It is the year 2025.  Me and a few survivors are the only ones left.  On the cold fog of Thursday morning, just 2 days ago the Army force flew above us.  They released a toxic gas which changed people into something else.  I hid in an abandon house and luckily didn’t get infected by the gas.  Today is Saturday, and the only ones with brains here are me and four others.  The others are strangers to me but we have to stay together to survive. 

    My name is Genesis Vina.  And I am 19 years of age.  The people with me are named as Gabriel, Arianna, Stegal and Maxius. Their ages are ranged, but Maxius is our leader of the group.  Our first priority is to stay alive of course.  We got weapons at the abandoned shop, which was filled with everything we need to kill these monsters.  I got a Ray gun and my secondary weapon is ballistic knives.  The others have all sorts of weapons but I just carry my two primaries.

    “Genesis, watch behind you,” said Arianna.  I quickly turned around with my ballistic knife in hand and jammed it straight through that blood suckers jaw.  If I haven’t told you, these monsters are Zombies.  That was my first experience with killing Zombies.  And there will be more to come shortly.  We decided to stay in a broken down hospital that had all the emergency equipment we would ever need.  From the roof top you could see the whole crowd of the undead slowly coming into the town.  We didn’t have much food but what we did have we savored. 

    Everything was quiet for the rest of the day.  We settled into a confined room all together incase anything were to happen.  As we slowly fell asleep one by one were didn’t know we’d be awoken by the screams of a straggler.  There was another survivor, we all grabbed our weapons and followed the screams.  But it was to late by the time we got to her she was already ripped open and her guts were falling out.  The Zombie was digging into her like he has never eaten before. Arianna couldn’t stomach it and she ran into the other room about to puke.  I raised my Ray gun up and ready to aim right at his head.  When I was about to pull the trigger then more Zombies broke into the hospital.  We all ran back to the room to come up with a plan.

    We were not to split up under any circumstances.  But I noticed that Stegal was missing.  “Guys.  Where’s Stegal?”  I asked.  Everyone looked around shouting, “Stegal!”  He was no where to be found.  We were worried but couldn’t split up to go find him it was to risky.  We decided just to go out into the other room and unleash holy hell on these beasts.  And that is what we did.  We all ran out shooting to our hearts desired.  Killing those Zombies was one of the best feelings I felt in my whole life.  Once all the Zombies laid around us dead I noticed one that looked to be Stegal.  I ran over to check him out.  I wiped the blood from his face revealing his freckled cheeks.  I looked over to the rest of the group, “We killed him!”  Everyone was confused but I said, “We killed Stegal!”  They were shocked.  “Well he could have been one of them you never know.” said Gabriel.  We all retreated back to our group room.

    The next morning I still couldn’t believe we killed Stegal.  But I couldn’t keep thinking about that, I need to think about myself.  Today we will be traveling to the grocery store for food.  Its about 5 blocks from the hospital we are staying in now.  As we geared up for this short journey, Arianna noticed that Gabriel was missing now.  We found a blood trail leading to the operating room, which was all the way down the hall from us.  Maxius was the first to follow, I followed behind while Arianna stayed alone in the group room.  “Genesis, you better have my back on this.” Maxius said.  I rolled my eyes looking behind us saying, “I, I sir.”  I aimed behind us making sure nothing was going to sneak up behind us.  Maxius kicked the door open to where the blood trail leaded.  He walked in aiming steadily and heard something moving around.  I still had Maxius’ back no matter what.  He told me to fall back and search the room with him.  As I searched I too heard something moving around.  Maxius found Gabriel in a corner chewing on a leg.  Gabriel turned his head and looked at us growling.  I noticed that Gabriel was about to jump onto Maxius and as he attempted I shot him dead in his tracks.
