Start of the book: kia McDonald gets introduced and makes her way to NYC
Kia gets separated from her school group because of a monster that leaves her injured on the street, she ends up meeting Sally jackson, who then takes her back to her apartment to heal and get some food/clothes. Kia is then about to call her uncle to let him know that she is okay when percy jackson comes home from school. When kia locks eyes with percy she feels a tugging sensation in her stomach and the water in the glass that she is holding starts to float towards percy, who then exclaims "WOAH" his mom hears this and looks to see what happened and asks percy if he is the one doing it but he shakes his head no and keeps staring at the water which is now floating above kia's head..
"When I was little I used to be a fan of the film Avatar. I always watched the water benders and wanted be like them so one day when I was at the beach with my uncle, I pretended to be a waterbender and as i was pretending, i started feeling this tugging sensation in the pit of my stomach and the water started doing what I wanted it too, it started acting the way I asked it too.
Luckily it was only me and my uncle on the Beach that day but he told me to never try it in public again so instead I trained myself in private and he taught me how to fight with sword. a very strange sword it was almost bronze, it is 3 feet long and always seem to disappear whanever it wasn't being used.
He made me pack it when I came here, I don't know why but I have a feeling that it's all connected. Why did she ask you if you were doing it? are you like me?, are you a demigod too?"
So that was the plot for chapter 3, I'm going to try and get that chapter between 500 to 800 words and it should be up by Friday next week :).
