Footsteps pound against the wood floors, rippling across the empty halls as several teenagers rush about. Their eyes are all the same colour, glowing as they bounce about and off the walls in pursuit of one other teen in front.
She's running hard and frantically, trying to go as fast as her already worn out body will carry her through these dusty rooms and halls. She can feel her nose bleeding from how bad the dust is, her mouth soon follows suite with a few drops slipping out. Those behind her through panting as they continue to move more wildly, now digging their fingers into the wall just to help move around corners. Their fingers are broken and mangled from this already but they still do this again and again with no sign of pain; they keep huge, malicious grins and laughing the whole while.
"Come on Lucille! Just a few drops of blood and it'll be done!" They shout between panting like dogs, as Lucille continues running knowing that she could just slightly outrun or outlast this group in terms of endurance. It has always been the case before, but this doesn't seem to be the case as they're not changing in pace or slowing down, only panting from their intentions. "No! Why me?!" She shouts in frustration, as she bends her knees to lower herself enough to not hit a low beam in the middle of a long hallway. Her most recent effort at turning a corner stalling these pack of possessed idiots enough for her to turn another corner on impulse, on the immediate right of the long hallway after scraping her knees and palms against the floor.
The pursuers quickly hone in on her approximate location by running through the wooden beam. "Come on out Lucille! We don't want to really hurt 'cha, honest! We just need your blood as the most innocent enough to follow through with our plans!" Shivering and hiding in a corner, Lucille covers her mouth with the back of her hand, trying to stay silent or at least very quiet. All while staying absolutely as still as she can, with a hard pulsating heartbeat that shakes her body anyway. They're getting closer to her.
They went down the hall first but returned when they saw the blood slightly trail into the room. They're getting closer, closer! Lucille is shaking, trying to hide herself into the corner as she sees the shoe of one of the teens pass the threshold that is the doorway. "We've foouund you~" One says, causing Lucille to push herself further into the stone corner as her feet desperately try to get friction. "FOUND YOU!" One shouts, making all the others turn to them and then Lucille, her heels only just started to dig into the floor panels out of sheer terror. Unnoticed to her trembling body, the comparatively ancient stone of the walls/corner she was pushing up against, give way only after the blood from her palm touches one odd spot. The wall crumbles and with it, so does the floor underneath her to a slant.
Her terror falls with this event. Suddenly she only knows a lack of emotion, even a form of relief in what feels like a longer time that it actually is. 'At least this'll mean I won't have to feel it.' Is the last thing she thinks mid-air, before falling down a floor, then another floor soon after that. All the running about this old house, then the stone of the walls coming down breaks through the flooring, dropping Lucille right into the basement. In the middle of the blackened tiles, she lays with a piece of another wood beam piercing straight through her left leg. The pain alone keeps her fully conscious, much to her dismay. "N-no! Damn iit!" She shouts in frustration. "I don't want to be conscious through-" The teens from before have entered the basement through a set of stairs. "-Oh, oh, aww, look guys. She wasn't running away, she was helping us!" "W-what?" "Just look! She got all those injuries, bleeding everywhere and landing right next to the altar! How considerate of you~!"
Much to her horror, Lucille sees that this has very much happened. The very altar and ritual she was trying to avoid with that mad dash, has only lead her right back to it. The teens, stay still as if they're waiting for her to make a move. She thinks 'No! Damn it! Damn it all to hell!' Before clenching her fist, slapping it across another exposed jagged beam, then flinging her blood at her pursuers in an attempt to distract them. It works for a few seconds, as they immediately dive to lick up the blood in a fashion only describable as animalistic.
