"Mommy please don't leave.." I asked with sadness in my eyes
"I'll be right back baby,I just need to run to the bank while your aunt looks after you." She replies reassuringly.
She lied. She never came back. My older sister and I were at my aunts place for a week before my grandma came looking upset.
"Monica, Amy I need to talk to you guys" she says before sighing
We follow her into the bedroom.
"Listen your mom she's very sick and the doctors say she may need to take a vacation. Do you guys want to see her again?"
"Mommy is sick? Is she going to come back after her vacation?" Monica asks.
"She might not,the doctors say she needs a very long vacation."
I couldn't do anything but stand there, as tears slowly stared to escape my eyes wetting my cheeks along the way.
We didn't end up seeing her,and now that its been 8 years I regret every choice I made then.

Hey guys so this is a book based on my life but I changed up some names,sorry I don't have any memories with my mom since she passed away when I was 4, I only remember after her death sorry about that!!
