Your on your way to the field to meet with Cedric and read as you promised when you feel a strong hand lay on your shoulder.
"Boo!", you hear Cedric laugh.
"Oh shut up, you almost made me jump out my skin", you playfully shove him as you pretend to be mad.
"Remember our deal y/n?", he says with a smile
"Of course", you smile back feeling a slight warmth in your cheeks.
You both walk over to your tree and sit down together. You pull out your new book from your bag and say, "Chapter one"
"Hold on dont start yet, I have a twig poking my back", Cedric says worried that he's going to miss a word.
"Done?", you ask playfully after he finishes fidgeting.
"Done", he says leaning back on the strong oak tree waiting for you to start.
Half an hour passes and you close your book as you finish the first chapter. You let out a small sigh and stare into the clouds.
Cedric looks up with an almost disappointed expression on his face, "see you next Tuesday then y/n, don't read any without me".
He smiles as he gets up and brushes the leaves off his robes, one of them flutters into your hair and he bends down and slowly untwines it from your braid dragging his fingers lightly across your cheekbones before bringing his hands back up. You blush slightly as he does so.
"Not like you to have your hair tied up, it's nice", he says turning around before you get to say anything else.
You smile a little to yourself as your heart skips a beat.
You pack your things up and dust yourself off before getting ready for your next lesson.
