Real Life and Fairy Tales
Real life isn’t like fairy tales.
Not every story has a happy ending,
Not every Princess gets her Prince.
Not every bad guys gets beaten.
There is no magic wand.
There are no talking animals,
There are no mythical creatures,
There is no Fairy Godmother.
There is no genie in a bottle either.
Real life isn’t like fairy tales.
But do we want it to be?
Real life teaches you lessons,
It’s a roller coaster of emotions,
Your heart gets broken…a lot.
You don’t always get what you want.
But real life is real.
There are so many opportunities,
So many people,
So many places.
You fall in love…a lot.
Anything can happen,
The story is not predictable,
It’s not something you can describe in words in a book.
Or in images on a screen.
And I woudn’t change it.
So real life isn’t like fairy tales.
It’s even better.
