Cair paravel

I won't lie, but this strange guy in a strange place is quite handsome. But once again he's a strange guy in a strange place so I shouldn't exactly be saying that.

Edmund jumps off his horse,
"I suggest you come back to Cair Paravel , Susan won't be happy if she finds out I left you two here."

"Just because we know each other's names doesn't mean we aren't strangers. Did no one ever teach you about stranger danger?" I retaliated.

"Well with you both sprawled out on the ground cover in mud, soaked by the rain and when you clearly have a broken arm, I doubt either of you could cause me any trouble."

The king just reached down to help Mike, who was uncontrollably grinning, onto the horse before taking my (undamaged) hand and pulling me up.

"For all you know, I could be a witch." I pointed out as he looked at me in the eye. Well, down in the eye. The fairy king happens to be quite tall.

He faltered slightly and there was a certain glint in his once piercing eyes.

"trust me I would know if you were a witch, which you are not."
He replied before turning back to the horse.

Silence.

Awkward from my point of view to say the least.

"Well are you coming or not."

The kings whole demeanour had changed. No more humour in his voice.

"Right" I mumbled before hopping onto the horse, Mike mostly sitting on my lap.

"You're lucky I'm strong. Three of you at once is very much pushing the boundaries." The horse spoke.

The horse spoke?

Mikes and My own eyes widened at the sound.

The horse must have heard mikes gasps and it huffed
"oh my Aslan-

Aslan?

-another son of Adam and daughter of eve... My name's Philipe"

"Yes, the horse can talk." The monotone Edmund bluntly clarified.

Sarcastic prick.

Silence.

What would've been awkward if it wasn't for me and Mike being marvelled by the sights on the small journey.

We had arrived at the kings home.

House? No

Mansion? No

Castle? Eh

Palace is probably the best way to describe it. It was a breathtakingly huge, beautiful and, once again using the word, ethereal palace.

Well, ethereal probably is the best way to describe everything about this. It's a region beyond earth. And far better than earth from what I've seen so far.

Edmund still hadn't spoken, even when we reached the buildings doors.

Was it us?

Was it something Mike or I said?

Was it just the idea of strangers in general?

Whatever it was, I began to feel over come with guilt. He seemed humorous until I mentioned-

a witch?

"EDMUND!"

I was pulled out of my head when a young girl ran up to Edmund and gave him a hug.

Oh so the boy does have a heart for some.

"Who is this?" The girl grinned.

"Mike, N/n , this is Lucy. Lucy this is Mike and N/n. "

"Its Y/n, actually" I cut in, glaring at Mike.

My eyes reach Ed's who seems to be suppressing a smirk but it turns as blank as paper soon as it's there.

"Well it's lovely to meet you!" She cheered, "oh how long are you staying?! Where do you come from?! Wait- where do you come from? We haven't had people like us here in Narnia for years. Well, besides a few telamarines across the islands, that's how we met Caspian! Why are you here? Ooo are you staying with us? And-"

"Luce stop rambling" Edmund sighed. "We'll go to Peter, he's the high king so he can decide what happens."
