Tree branch Investigation
Akari had been situated in the castle for a satisfying week now. Her wound was no longer open, leaving it to be a rather large scar across her abdomen. Throughout her stay, shirayuki accompanied her most of the time, with Obi closely following behind. Shirayuki grew rather fond of Akari, always rushing to find the blue haired lass, after her shift at the infirmary. Akari on the other hand, still kept quiet, only speaking when necessary. Don't get her wrong, she was very thankful of Zen for letting her stay, and exposing her to more interaction. She even offered to help him sign papers once, which he almost agreed to, if it weren't for Mitsuhide stepping in. she just didn't have a reason to talk so much.
Third person POV
The blue eyed lass was seen sitting at a nook near the window. Her room's balcony was open, allowing Obi to peer in once in a while from the trees. She was so deep in the story, that she didn't even realize there was a nock on the door. That knock soon turned into banging, which finally made her look up.
"Who's at the door? You're disturbing my peace." The girl sighed to herself, while closing the book.
When she finally opened the door, she saw Mitsuhide standing there, a hand on his hip, and an annoyed grin plastered on his face. "What took you so long? Were you taking a dump or something?" The male questioned, snickering a bit. This led the female still standing in her room to kick the lad in the knee.
"Urgh Sorry, sorry! Zen wants you in his office. You can't just stay in the castle and not get a job you know." Mitsuhide stated, clutching one leg and hopping on the other. Not getting an answer from the lass walking beside him, he continued his stroll quietly.
"By the way... you never told us what exactly happened to you after that day. We were really worried you know. Zen refused to do his work entirely. Why did you wait so long to come back? We even sent out guards to search, but they came back empty handed." Mitsuhide said, his voice got lower and lower. His head dipped down, while his lips quivered.
"Well clearly you didn't search hard enough, huh?" His head shot up when he heard the female's harsh tone. His eyes widened when her face came in sight. Her nose was red, like she had to cry, and her eyes began to tear a bit. But they never escaped her eyes.
"Huh?" That's all he could utter. Was she serious? They sent out over ten guards. They searched for a whole week. Retracing their previous steps that day. So many of the workers got sick, from dehydration, and random bites, since they were in the forest.
"Why didn't you come. You. Zen. Kiki... Izana-" The girl could barely even finish her sentence. Her throat became dry. Just speaking 'his' name made her cringe. She couldn't believe him. It sounded as if he was putting the blame on her. She halted her steps, turning to face Mitsuhide completely, though never looking in his eyes. She kept her head down.
"IF THEY SEARCHED SO HARD THEN WHY COULDN'T THEY FIND ME. I WAS UNCONSCIOUS, HAD NO FOOD, WAS DEHYDRATED, FOR OVER A WEEK. AND NO ONE FOUND ME. UNTIL- until I was captured." Akira choke on her words. She realized near the end, that she had raised her voice. She grunted while muttering a small, "let's just go"
The girl couldn't see his face. But if she did, she would see how mortified he was. His eyes were widened, dilated. His fists clenched so hard, his knuckles turned white.
'It looks like a vein is gonna pop.' Obi thought, watching them from a tree branch. He only came because he heard commotion while in the infirmary with Shirayuki. He didn't realize it was Akari and Mitsuhide creating the fuss until he went there. His brow arched at what Akari had said. 'So she was kidnapped...' He thought. Actually, if he was thinking about it now, he noticed a few dark bruises and scars all over her body when they first met, in the infirmary. He just thought it was because she liked exploring the outside.
