Library chats
The door was slammed open harshly. Zen looked up to see that Akari had kicked the door open, and Mitsuhide was following her not too close. He seemed kind of out of it, his grayish- turquoise eyebrows furrowed.
"Akari! Take a seat." Zen smiled, gesturing towards the two seats in front of his desk. The blue haired beauty followed his instructions, pulling the seat out and plopping onto it.
Zen stared at her for a few seconds, noticing the uneasiness in her eyes. He cleared his throat before continuing, "What do you think about working for me again? It'll be like the old days. I'll set you up as Obi's partner."
Akari scrunched her brows up, and took a deep breath out of her mouth. "I wouldn't want to hurt cat-boy's feelings if I declined. Especially if he's still watching us from the tree." she sighed stroking her long fine hair. Personally it was getting too long for her liking.
"HUH? Really? OBI!" Zen shouted. Then as he called. The brunette appeared through the opened balcony doors. "Sorry for eavesdropping master! There was nothing to do."
Sighing, the white haired prince turned back to the girl. "So, that means you'll do it?!" He asked excitedly. Akari only shrugged in response.
"Great! I'll get you a uniform similar to your old one." Zen stated, smiling brightly. It almost wanted to make her smile too.
Akari was now strolling through the castle's library. However, she seemed very on guard. "When will you stop following me Obi?" She suddenly started, picking her head up to look towards his direction. The male flinched. "How did you know I was here?" He asked, cocking his head to the side.
"I could practically smell you from a mile away.." Akari muttered. That was true, she had developed the skill to recognize people's scents over the years, while training as an assassin. Not only that, but she happened to pick up the sound of his footsteps.
"Anyways... Why do you keep following me. Don't you think that's a little invasive." she said arching a brow.
"Hmm? Well I think you're really interesting, miss." Obi smirked. This caused Akari to scoff at his comment.
"Is that so. Why don't you stalk little red instead. I'm sure you find her much more interesting. Especially since you like her so much." The lass stared at Obi amusingly, as he choked on air."Am I that obvious?" He nervously chuckled, rubbing his nape.
Akari took one more glance at him before turning back to the book in her hands. She spoke as she walked towards a desk, piled with more books and a notebook. "Well, maybe not to her, but I can see right through you. It must be rough.. Liking someone that doesn't like you back. Especially when they act so oblivious."
Obi just stared at her. It seemed as if she was getting mad, herself. 'Maybe she experienced this too' He thought. His eyes then peered down at her notes.
"You're writing about plants?" He questioned, swiftly spinning a chair around, to sit on. His legs hooked onto the font of the chair. Leaning his chin on the back of the chair."Mhm. I saw Shirayuki struggling about something a few days ago. I also want to know some things myself. It's not good to stay stupid my whole life." She stated, glancing at Obi, as if she was directing her comment at him. It made him speechless. But he didn't respond. The brunette watched her delicate hands move while writing. Her handwriting was exceedingly neat. Once in a while, she would peer back at the book on the other side.
