Shattered Forever (A Maxerica love story)

Americas Pov:

This moment could make or break my life. This moment depends on my happiness. This moments defines my life. And I'm this moment, IM FREAKING OUT! I'm placed on Maxons right which means something, right? Kriss is placed on his left. He does not even bother to say a single sentence to me, meanwhile he is over there talking to her like she is the only girl in the room. The only thing that matters. " I love you Maxon, please don't do this." I said, unaware that I did. He didn't respond until about 10 seconds later. " I loved you America, past tense." He spat. Ouch that hurt. Just when I was about to say something else dumb I was interrupted by the loud feedback of a microphone

"It is now time for Prince Maxon to announce his future wife and out future Queen of Ilea!" Gavril  spoke to the whole room. " Right uh, thank you Gavril. So it has been a rollercoaster of the past few months and it has been narrowed down to these two lovely ladies!  This was definitely a hard choice to make but my future wife and your new Queen of Ilea is..... Lady Kriss Ambers."  Kriss stood up and kissed Maxon and he got down on one knee. "Kriss I knew since the day I met you that you were my one true love," he said reluctantly. " Kriss Ambers, will you do me the honor of becoming my wife?" By this point the whole crowd was gasping. "YES YES YES YES A MILLION TIMES YES!" Kriss kissed him and the feeling of jealousy hit me like a bus. I would never get to do that with Maxon.

I went back into my room to pack my things. I could not believe I was leaving. I overheard Kriss and Maxon talking in the hallway. "I love you so much," Kriss said. "I really do." "I mean, you know isn't this a little bit early. I wanna go slow like you said with kissing." By this time I was peeking out into the hallway. She nodded her head. I slammed by door and started sobbing. I packed my things and rushed out past Maxon and Kriss.

Maxons POV:

As America stormed out past me and Kriss and on her way past something fell out of her bag. A letter with my name on it?! I opened the letter to this:

Dear Maxon,
I never thought it would end like this. I don't know what you think you saw when me and Aspen were on the hallway together, but I was telling him how wonderful you are and how much I loved you. He also told me he was engaged to Lucy and I hugged him because I was happy for him. If you would have given me maybe a second or two to explain you would know this. I hope you enjoy your life with Kriss

"Ahh I feel like suck an idiot Kriss!" I said looking at the paper. Deep down I knew I still love her; but I don't know how Kriss would act. "What's wrong?" She opened the letter, read it slowly, then closed it. "You still love her, don't you?" She said tears in her eyes. "No no no of course I love you darling. Let me show you how much." I pulled Kriss into a deep passionate kiss, but this felt wrong. She pulled my arm to the bedroom and she kissed me again and again but this felt like a betrayal. I just could not do this.  There is nothing that could ever stop my heart from beating with lover for America, not even Kriss
